No. 6323. GAS SERVICE CONPRACT TO FURNISH FUEL TO COURT HOUSE.
This the 20th day of October, A. D. 1953, came on to be considered by the Court, the fuel
service contract required by the Lone Star Gas Co., to be executed by Kerr County. It appearing
to the Court that said contract should be entered into by Kerr County, and that the proper per-
son to execute same would be the County Sudge. Therefore, by motion duly made by Powell, second-
ed by Guthrie, and unanimously approved by the Court, that the County Judge be, and is hereby
authorized to execute a service contract with the Lone Star Gas Co. to cover one year's service,
for heating the Court House.

No. 6324. PUBLIC NOTICE FOR SALE CF SURPLUS LAND BELONGING Tfl THE COUNPY.
This the 20th day of October, 1953, came on to be considered by the Court, the property
belonging to Kerr County which was purchased from F. 'rl. iVitt, located at the intersection of
Highway 27 and Farm to P~Iarket 1338 (Goat Creek Road), as fully set out in a deed to the County,
as shown of record in the office of the County Clerk. 'Nherefore, the Court is desirous of pub-
lishing a notice for the sale of said land at public auction, with the right to reject any and
all bids. Said notice to be published at a date and time to comply with the law, and that L.h4.
Guthrie, should be appointed as Special Commissioner herein. Therefore, by motion duly made by

Goff, seconded by Powell, and unanimously approved by the Court that the proper notice be pub-
lished as required by law at a time and place in accordance therewith.

No. 6325. PAYMENT FOR NURSING AND CARE OF RILEY SAiITH, AN INDIGEDPI' INVALID.
This the 9th day of November, A• D. 1953, came on to be considered by the Court, the neces-
sity to reimburse Lucretia Jones for her nursing services, board and other means of taking care
of Riley Smith, an indigent invalid, for the period beginning October 9th, 1953, up to and in-
cluding November 9th, 1953. ;"therefore, the Court has heretofore made an allowance to Phoebe
~ Treadwell in the amount of X150.00, payable in advance for such care of the said Riley Smith,
._ and are of the opinion that Il4rs. Lucretia Jones should be paid for the month of October and be
allowed an additional monthly payment in advance through the period of December 9th, 1953, in
the amount of X125.00 each. Therefore, by motion duly made by Goff, seconded by Powell, and
unanimously approved by the Court, that the County Clerk and County Treasurer be, and are here-

by directed to issue voucher in favor of Lucretia Jones in the amount of $250.00 for the two
months period of nursing and care of Riley Smith, to bo drawn on the General Fund of Rerr County.
The County Clerk and County Treasurer are further directed to issue voucher in favor of Mrs.
Lucretia Jones in advance, beginning December 9th, 1953, and continue each month thereafter
while said patient is properly nursed and cared for, in the amount of 125.00 each month, to be
drawn on the General Fund of Kerr County until further determined by the Court.

No. 6326. APPROVAL OF CLAIMS AND ACCOUNTS.
This the 9th day of November, A. D. 1953, came on to be Considered by the Court, the claims
and accounts filed against Kerr County, since the last term of this Court, against the General
Fund, Road and Bridge No. 2, Lateral Road and Bridge No. 3, Road and Bridge No. 1, Road and
Bridge No. 4, R. & B. R. W. Fd. F. M. 689, and R. & B. R. W. Fd. F. M. 1273, snd the necessity
to confirm the weekly pay-roll oP the laborers as per sworn affidavit filed with the County
Clerk for the weeks of October 16th, 17th, 24th, and 30th, and November 6th, 1953. It appearing
to the Court that said claims and accounts filed against each fund should be paid, and that the
payment of the labor bills as per sworn affidavit filed with the County Clerk for the weeks oY
October 16th, 17th, 24th, 25th, and 30th, and November 6th, 1953, be confirmed as paid. There-
fore, by motion duly made by Guthrie, seconded by Goff, and unaiimusly approved by the Court,
and the County Clerk be and is hereby directed to draw vouchers against the County Treasurer on
all claims filed in the amounts therefor, payable out of the respective funds to the parties
entitled thereto; that the labor bills be confirmed as paid, for the weeks of Octob er 16th, 17th,
24th, 25th, and 30th, and November 6th, 1953.

This the 9th day of November, A• D. 1953, after motion having been duly made by Guthrie,
seconded by Bartel, and unanimously approved by the Court, that Commissioners' Court of Kerr
County agrees and confirms that Robert E. Sicker, d/b/a Kerrville Flying Service, be authorized
to sub-lease the Louis Schreiner Municipal Airport to Trans-Texas Airways, in accordance with
the contract and Sub-lease Agreement, of which the following is a substantial copy, to-wit:

FLYING SERVICE, (hereinafter referred to as "LESSOR") and TRANS-TEXAS AIR,YAYS of Harris County,
State of Texas, a Corporation organized and existing under the laws of the State of Texas (here-
inafter referred to as "LESSEE").
71YEREAS, Lessor has under lease from the City of Kerrville, County of Kerr, and the County ~
of Rerr, State of Texas, certain premises known as LOUIS SCHREINER MiJD1ICIPAL AIRPORT (hereinafter
referred to as "Airport"), and Lessor is now operating said Airport, said lease having commenced
on December 1, 1953 and continuing for a period of 2 years thereafter; and
dYHEREAS Lessor has authority from the City of Kerrville and the County of Kerr to enter into
this Sub-Lease Agreement; and Lessee being engaged in the business of transporting persons, pro-
perty and mail by air, Lessor does hereby lease and grant and Lessee does hereby hire and take
