CANVASS REGISTRATION AND DOG TAX ELECTION AND PAYMEP~'I' OF ELECTION OFFICIALS. This the 5th day of December, A• D. 1953, came on to be canvassed and tabulated, the special election returns, in re: Dog Tax and Registration, which was held on December 2nd, A. D. 1953, and the payment of the election officials. Wherefore, the Court having tabulated said returns in Volume 4, page 19, of the Records of Election Returns, as certified in the record thereof, are of the opinion that same should be accepted and approved and that the payment of the election officials should be set at X1.00 per hour with x.50 overtime and an allowance of 2.00 to the official of each election precinct who returns the boxes, with the allowance of 2.50 for the rant of the .American Legion Hall in Center Point, Texas. Therefore, by motion duly made by Goff, seconded by Bartel, and unanimously approved by the Court, that the special election re- ... turns be approved as canvassed and tabulated, and the County Clerk and County Treasurer be, and are hereby directed to issue voucher in favor of each election official on the General Fund of Kerr County, figured at the rate of X1.00 per hour on a 10 hour working dag, with $.50 for any additional hour as overtime, and allow the Judge who returns the boxes an additional sum of $2.00. The rent in the amount of X2.50 to be payable to the American Legion for the use of the Hall, located in Center Point Election precinct No. 2, out of the General Fund. o-o-a-o-o-o-o No. 6369. COUNTY JUDGE DIRECTED TC ISSUE PROCLAMATION FOR THE REGISTRATION AND ISSUANCE OF DOG TAGS. This the 5th day of December, A• D. 1953, after motion having been duly made by Goff, seconded by Sowell, and unanimously approved by the Court that the County Judge be, and is here- be authorized and directed to issue proclamation in accordance with Article 1371a of the Penal Code of the State of Texas, for the registration of all dogs by their owners within ten days from the date of said proclamation with a thirty day grace period in which to register after ,,., said law begins; that the County Treasurer be, and is hereby directed to order five hundred (500) registration certificates and tags to be numbered Prom 1 to 500, inclusive, and that said officer be, and is hereby directed to issue each certificate with a tag and collect the sum of X1.00 for each dog and deposit said tax in a special fund, to be hereinafter known as Dog Tax Fund.
