shows very satisfactory services rendered by the two departments and that same should be approv-

tion by E. H. Nichols, Tax Assessor and Collector of Kerr County, Texas, Por five special poll
tax deputies to assist in issuing poll tax receipts throughout Kerr County, it appearing to the
Court that the special deputies applied for era willing to perform such duties without any cost
to Kerr County and that said officer should be allowed to make said appointments and that this
Court should enter a confirmation for same; therefore, by motion duly made by Bartel, seconded
by Powell, cad unanimously approved by the Court, it is therefore Ordered, Adjudged and Decreed
that the application for appointment of Piva deputies by said Tax Assessor and Collector be con-
firmed end approved.

auction awarded under Commissioners' Court Order No. 6370, as oP December 8th, 1953, to B. D.
Powell. Wherefore, the Court has been informed that said sale was in error in so Par as the publi-
cation in compliance with the sale oP public lands was not in conformity with the law, and that
a necessity exists to reappoint a Special Commissioner and readvertise by publication for the
sale of the .81 of an acre oP land, located along State Highway 27 between Farm to Market 1338
and Methodist Encampment Road which belongs to Kerr County; that Commissioners' Court Order No,
6370 be set aside and that the time for sale should be set Por Tuesday, January 12th, 1954, be-

No. 6393. GRANTING PETITION FOR SECOND CLP.SS ROAD FOR MARCIA IRVIN, ET AL, AND APPOINTH,ENT OF
JURY OF VIE4N.
On the 15th day of December A. D. 1953, came on to be heard the Application oP Glen and
Marcia Jane Irvin and fourteen others, freeholders of Precinct No. Four (4), for a new Road be-
ginning at a point about eight miles north 75 degrees west of the City of Kerrville, Kerr County,
Texas, situated in the southwest right of way line of Texas State Highway No. 27, and being at
the north or northeast corner oP a certain seven acre tract of land owned by J, M. Mattingly,
:.-. as shown by a warranty deed recorded in Vol. 84 at page 460 of the deed records of Kerr County,
Texas;- the said beginning point being further indicated and described in the above mentioned
application Piled in the Commissioners' Court oP Kerr County, Texas,- and the hereinafter men-
tioned terminal point of such road being also more specifically described in the said applica-
tion, and terminating at a point fifty Peet north 25 degrees west oP a new pole for an electric
utility line near the residence oP the said Glen Irvin and the said Marcia Jane Irvin,-- all as
set out in the said application, and it appearing to the Court that notice oP said Application
has been given, sa required by law;
Therefore, by motion duly made by GoPP, seconded by Guthrie, and unanimously approved by
the Court, it is so Ordered by the Court, that Glen Irvin, J. M. Mattingly, Dan Lee, George
Yarbrough, and Fred Beaver, five freeholders oP said County, be end are hereby appointed a Jury
of View, a majority oP whom may, after taking the prescribed oath before a properly authorized
person, proceed to assess damages, if any ere claimed, and with the County Surveyor, to ley out,
survey end describe such Roed to the greatest advantage to the public, so that the same can be
traced with certainty; and the field notes oP such survey or description oP the Road, together
with a statement of the damages assessed, iP any, shall be included in the report of the Jury,
and iP adopted, shall be recorded in the N.inutes of the Commissioners' Court. And it is further
ordered, that the said Jury make a report in this cause at the next regular meeting oP this Court
