This the 11th day oP January, A. D. 1954, after motion having been duly made by Goff,
seconded by Guthrie, and unanimously approved by the Court, that the County Clerk and County
Treasurer be, and are hereby directed to transfer the sum oP w33.74 from the Jury Fund, X882.06
from the Road and Bridge Fund, and x1764.13 from the General Fund to the Social Security Fund,
to create a surplus fund in advance for the year.

No. 6413. REIMBURSEMENT TO CITY OF KERRVILLE OF OVERPAYMENT ON MOOIdEY AIRCRAFT CONTRACT.
This the 11th day oP January, A. D. 1954, came on to be considered by the Court the overpay-
ment oP X123.00 by the City of Kerrville, to Commissioners' Precinct No. 2, for the irriprovement
on the Mooney Aircraft Contract at the Municipal Airport. It appearing to the Court that such
amount should be reimbursed to the City against Road and Bridge No. 2. Therefore, by motion
duly made by Powell, seconded by Bartel, and unanimously approved by the Court, that the County
Clerk and County Treasurer be, and are hereby directed to draw voucher in the amount of $123.00
payable to the City oP Kerrville Por the overpayment on said contract.

This the 11th day of January, A. D., 1954, came on to be considered by the Court, the paving
i.~nprovements performed by Killian-Keller Company, in the amount of X2612.80, for the excavation
and flexible base to complete the paving improvements for Mooney Aircraft Corporation and for
the extension oP the ramp Por Trans-Texas Airways. It appearing to the Court that Kerr County
has heretofore agreed to share one-half of the expense thereof, and that such amount should be
paid out of the Permanent Improvement Fund in favor oP the City oP Kerrville. Therefore, by
motion duly made by Powell, seconded by Bartel, and unanimously approved by the Court, that the
County Clerk and County Treasurer be and are hereby directed to draw voucher in favor of City of
Kerrville, in the amount oP ~1306.4o Por Kerr County's one-half oP the improvements to the Muni-

COUNTY OF KERR:
This the 12th day oP January, A. D. 1954, came on to be considered by the Court the provi-
sions oP Senate Bill ~r5, Chapter 465 passed at first called session oP the 44th Legislature
prescribing compensation oP District, County end Precinct Officers to be compensated on a Pee
basis and be allowed to retain the increased maximum as contemplated under Article #3891x,
R. C. S., which also includes the increased compensation for the deputies for such various off-
icers and the provision oP Article 3912e, Section 2, R. C. S., prescribing that the Peace Offi-
cers be compensated on a salary basis, according to the provisions of H. J. R. #36 of the 50th
Legislature, as adopted by the people in the general election of November 2, 1948, amending
Section 61 of Article 16 of the State Constitution as the same applies for the payment of salary
oP Sheriff and Constables in counties having a population of less than 20,000. It appearing
to the Court that it is to the best interest of Kerr County and its Officers that all District,
County and Precinct Officers oP Kerr County, (with the exception of Public tiYeigher, Registrar
of Vital Statistics and County Surveyor), and with the exception of the Peace Officers, be com-
pensated on the fee basis and be allowed to retain the increased maximum as contemplated under
Article 3891x, R. C. S.
Therefore, by motion duly made by Goff, seconded by Guthrie, and unanimously approved by
the Court, that all District, County and Precinct Officers of Kerr County, (with exception of
Public bYeigher, Registrar of Vital Statistics and County Surveyor), and with exception oP Peace
Officers, shall retain such maximum Ease as are earned by them in the performance oP their
official duties as contemplated under Article 3891e, R. C. S., which also includes the increased
compensation for the deputies of such various officers and that the compensation of Peace Offi-
cers be fixed on a salary basis for the fiscal year of 1954. That the County Clerk be, and is
hereby directed to prepare a certified copy oP this order and Forward same to the Comptroller
of Public Accounts of the State of Texas.

No. 6418. FIXING OF SALARY AND TRAVEZING EXPENSE OF COUNTY AGENT.
This the 12th day of January, A. D. 1954, came on to be considered by the Court the fixing
of the salary snd traveling expense of Guy Powell, County Agent of Kerr bounty, and it appearing
to the Court that said agent receives benefits from the Extension Service end that X1600.00 per
annum should be fixed as his salary and X500.00 as his traveling expense from Kerr County;
therefore, by motion duly made by Bartel, seconded by Goff, and unanimously approved by the
Court, that the salary of Guy Powell, County Agent oP Kerr County, be fixed at X1600.00 per
annum, payable X133.33 at the expiration of each month, beginning January 31st, 1954, and his
