C. S., which also includes the increased compensation for the deputies for such various off- icers and the provision oP Article 3912e, Section 2, R. C. S., prescribing that the Peace Offi- cers be compensated on a salary basis, according to the provisions of H. J. R. #36 of the 50th Legislature, as adopted by the people in the general election of November 2, 1948, amending Section 61 of Article 16 of the State Constitution as the same applies for the payment of salary oP Sheriff and Constables in counties having a population of less than 20,000.
