No. 6419. FIXING SALARY OF COUNTY HOME DEMONSTRATION AGENT.
This the 12th day of January, A. D. 1954, came on to be considered by the Court, the fixing
of the salary and traveling expense of Mary Jo Garland, County Heme Demonstration Agent of Kerr
County, Texas, for the ensuing year 1954, and it appearing to the Court that said Agent is
receiving benefits from the Extension Service end that the salary of $1500.00 per annum and a
traveling expanse of $500.00 should be fixed by this Court; Therefore, by motion duly made by
and traveling expense
Guthrie, seconded by Goff, and unanimously approved by the Court, that the salary/of Mary Jo
Garland, County Home Demonstration Agent of Kerr County, be fixed at $1500.00 per annum, payable
$125.00 each month, end $500.00 per annum, payable X41.66 each month, beginning January 31st,
1954, and the County Clerk be and is hereby directed to draw vouchers against the County Treas-
urer Por said monthly installments payable to said Agent out of the General Fund of Kerr County.

No. 6420. FIXING SALARY OF THE CON;MISSIONERS.
This the 12th day oP January, A. D. 1953, after motion having been made by Goff, seconded
by Guthrie, and unanimously approved by the Court that the salaries of the Commissioners of Kerr
County for the ensuing year of 1954 be fixed as Follows, to-wit:
L. M. Guthrie, Commissioner Precinct No. 1, $1800.00 salary and X600.00 traveling expense;
V. D. Powell, Commissioner, Precinct No. 2, X1500.00 salary and $300.00 traveling expense;
Adolph Bartel, Commissioner, Precinct No. 3, $1500.00 salary and ~300.G0 traveling expense; and
Lee Goff, Commissioner Precinct No. 4, X1800 salary and X600.00 traveling expense. The County
Clark be end is hereby directed to draw vouchers against the County Treasurer in monthly pay-
ments, beginning January 31st, 1954 in the amount of $150.00 each, out oP the General Fund, pay-
able to L. M. Guthrie, and Lee Goff, together with X50.00 payable to each of said officers, pay-
able out oP their respective Road and Bridge Precincts Por traveling expense, and the monthly
salaries oP $125.00 each, payable to V. D. Powell and Adolph Bartel out of the General Fund, to-
gather with X25.00 monthly payahle to each of said officers for traveling expense, out of their
respective Road and Bridge Precincts.

No. 6421. FIXING THE SALARY OF THE COUNTY JUDGE.
This the 12th day oP January, A. D. 1954, came on to be considered by the Court, the salary
of the County Judge for the ensuing gear, and it appearing to the Court that said officer is ex-
officio County Superintendent and receives part of his compensation through said sources, end is
entitled to retain his fees of office end that his salary should be fixed at X1320.00 per annum
as County Judge end X300.00 per annum ea Juvenile Officer of Kerr County; therefore, by motion
duly made by Bartel, seconded by Goff, and unanimously approved by the Court, that the salary of
the County Judge be fixed at X1320.00 per annum payable to John R. Leavell in monthly install-
ments of X110.00 the first payment to begin January 31st, 1954, and the salary ss Juvenile Off-
icer be fixed at X300.00 per annum, payable to said officer in monthly installments oP X25.00.
The County Clerk he, and is hereby authorized and directed to draw vouchers against the County
Treasurer 1n the amount of X110.00 monthly out of the Road end Bridge Fund, $25.00 each month
out of the General Fund of Kerr County, and said officer is further authorized to retain the
maximum fees oP said office according to law.
