It appearing to the Court that the unit of the National Guard is of great assistance to Kerr County as a whole, and in their discretion they should be allowed the sum of w10.00 per month for incidental expenses; therefore, by motion duly made by Guthrie, seconded by Goff, and unani- mously approved by the Court, that the County Clerk be, and is hereby directed to draw voucher against the County Treasurer in amount of w10.00 per month payable to Kerrville National Guard in monthly payments of X10.00 each, beginning January 31st, 1954, and each month thereafter until further determined by this Court, said voucher to be drawn on the General Fund of Kerr County. D. 1954, came on to be considered by the Court, the fixing of the salary of Albert ti'Jilson, Public [Veigher, of Precinct No. 1, and that his salary be read- justed between the City of Kerrville, and Kerr County, for the amount of x'100.00 a month. Vdhere- Pore, the Court having considered that the Public Jeigher has heretofore averaged in the vicinity ofv70.00 in monthly collections for the performance of his duties as public weigher, and that ~-~~,~-3 the City of Kerrville is desirous of paying one-half of the deficiency of the Pees collected up to X100.00 not exceeding .25.00 a month, and that said officer should deposit with the County Treasurer of Kerr County, ell the Paes collected in the performance of said office, together with a copy of all the weights of each transaction together with a monthly report covering the report oP collections and deposits made with the County Treasurer. Therefore, by motion duly made by Guthrie, seconded by Powell, and unanimously approved by the Court, that the salary of Albert Wilson, Public Weigher of Precinct No.l, be fixed at X100.00 a month covering the period beginning January 31st, 1954, that the County Clerk be, and is hereby directed to drew vcucher against the County Treasurer, on the General Fund in like amount on the close of January, 1954, and each month thereafter until further determined by the Court. D. 1954, came on to be considered by the Court, the fixing oP the salary of the secretary and stenographer Por the District Attorney, Jim W. Vv'eatherby, in accordance with Chapter 3b5, S. P. 2112 of the 52nd Legislature, which authorized a maximum salary in the amount of X2400.00 per annum of which a pro rata portion in accordance with the population of the County, would amount to ~ 33.00 per month for Kerr County's share. It appear- ing to the Court, that salary of the secretary oP District Attorney should be fixed at X33.00 per month, payable out of the General Fund of Kerr County.
