No. 6439. FIXING SALARY OF COUNTY CLERK.
This the 12th day oP January, A. D. 1954, came on to be considered by the Court, the
salary of Lawrence Stephens, County Clerk of Kerr County, Texas, and it appearing to the Court
that said officer has heretofore received an ex-officio salary of X2200.00 and has retained the
balance of $1550.00 out of the fees of his office; and that said salary should be fixed at
v~2750.00, and should be authorized to retain the balance of X1000.00 out of the fees of his
office; therefore, by motion duly made by Bartel, seconded by Goff, and unanimously approved by
the Court, that the salary oP Lawrence Stephens, County Clerk, be fixed at X2750.00 per annum,
and that he be authorized to retain X1000.00 out of the Pees of his office for the ensuing year
1954, and that said salary be payable v~229.16 each month, beginning January 31st, 1954, tc be
drawn on the General Fund by proper voucher drawn by said County Clerk on the County Treasurer
of Kerr County, Texas.

No. 8440. GRANTING KERRVILLE PUBLIC LIBRARY x`300.00 PER ANNUM, AS INCIDENTAL EXPENSE.
This the 12th day oP January, A. D. 1954, came on to be considered by the Court the grent-
ing of incidental expenses for the Kerrville Public Library. It appearing to the Court that
X300.00 per annum has been allowed by Kerr County for former years and that said amount should
be regrarted; therefore, by motion duly made by Goff, seconded by Guthrie, and unanimously
approved by the Court, that Kerr County allow the sum of $300.00 per annum for incidental expense
in favor oP the Kerrville Public Library in monthly installments of X25.00 per month, beginning
January 31st, 1954. The Ccunty Clerk be, and is hereby directed to draw vouchers against the
County Treasurer in like amounts payable to the Kerrville Public Library out of the General Fund
of Kerr County.

No. g 441. APPROVAL FOR THE PAYN~T OF INCIDENTAL EXPENSE TO KERRVILLE NATIONAL GUARD.
This the 12th day of January, A. D. 1954, came on to be considered by the Court any assiat-
anca that Kerr County might like to make to Kerrville National Guard for Incidental EScpenses.
It appearing to the Court that the unit of the National Guard is of great assistance to Kerr
County as a whole, and in their discretion they should be allowed the sum of w10.00 per month
for incidental expenses; therefore, by motion duly made by Guthrie, seconded by Goff, and unani-
mously approved by the Court, that the County Clerk be, and is hereby directed to draw voucher
against the County Treasurer in amount of w10.00 per month payable to Kerrville National Guard
in monthly payments of X10.00 each, beginning January 31st, 1954, and each month thereafter until
further determined by this Court, said voucher to be drawn on the General Fund of Kerr County.

seconded by Bartel, and unanimously approved by the Court, that the County Clerk be, and is here-
by directed to draw voucher against the County Treasurer, payable to Sallie Butcher of Kerrville,
Texas, in the amount oP ,15.00 monthly for a pauper allowance to be drawn on the General Fund
of Kerr County, Texas, to begin January 31st, 1954.

No. 6443. FIXING SALARY OF ALBERT JJILSON, PUBLIC WEIGHER.
This the 12th day of January, A. D. 1954, came on to be considered by the Court, the fixing
of the salary of Albert ti'Jilson, Public [Veigher, of Precinct No. 1, and that his salary be read-
justed between the City of Kerrville, and Kerr County, for the amount of x'100.00 a month. Vdhere-
Pore, the Court having considered that the Public Jeigher has heretofore averaged in the vicinity

ofv70.00 in monthly collections for the performance of his duties as public weigher, and that

the City of Kerrville is desirous of paying one-half of the deficiency of the Pees collected up
to X100.00 not exceeding .25.00 a month, and that said officer should deposit with the County
Treasurer of Kerr County, ell the Paes collected in the performance of said office, together
with a copy of all the weights of each transaction together with a monthly report covering the
report oP collections and deposits made with the County Treasurer. Therefore, by motion duly
made by Guthrie, seconded by Powell, and unanimously approved by the Court, that the salary of
Albert Wilson, Public Weigher of Precinct No.l, be fixed at X100.00 a month covering the period
beginning January 31st, 1954, that the County Clerk be, and is hereby directed to drew vcucher
against the County Treasurer, on the General Fund in like amount on the close of January, 1954,
and each month thereafter until further determined by the Court. The Public ~~eigher be, and is
hereby directed to submit to the County Treasurer of Kerr County, Texas, a copy oP all public
weight slips, together with his cash receipts and Pile a monthly report with the County Clerk
at the close of each month, with the attached receipts of the County Treasurer of the cash re-
ceipts deposited in the General Fund of Kerr County. The County Clerk is Further directed to
present a bill to the City Council oP the City of Kerrville Por the amount between one-half of
the deficiency oP the fees collected and the X100.00 salary not to exceed X25.00 in any one
month.

No. X444. FIXING SALARY OF AYLEENE 7tl'HARTON, SECRETARY TO DI STRICT ATTORNEY.
This the 12th day of January, A. D. 1954, came on to be considered by the Court, the fixing
oP the salary of the secretary and stenographer Por the District Attorney, Jim W. Vv'eatherby, in
accordance with Chapter 3b5, S. P. 2112 of the 52nd Legislature, which authorized a maximum
salary in the amount of X2400.00 per annum of which a pro rata portion in accordance with the
population of the County, would amount to ~ 33.00 per month for Kerr County's share. It appear-
ing to the Court, that salary of the secretary oP District Attorney should be fixed at X33.00
per month, payable out of the General Fund of Kerr County. Therefore, motion duly made by Goff,
seconded by Bartel, and unanimously approved by the Court, that Ayleene '.Nharton, secretary to
the District Attorney, be paid X33.00 per month out of the General Fund oP Kerr County, es Kerr
County's pro rata part and that the County Clerk be, and is hereby directed to draw vcucher in
like amount payable to said secretary on the 31st day of January, A. D. 1954, and at the end of
each month for the ensuing year, 1954.
