This the 15th day of June 1954, came on to he considered by the Court the appointment of
N. V. Caldwell, on application of Oliver Moore, as Special Deputy Sheriff, to assist in Dog Tag
regristration law enforcement. By motion made by Powell, seconded by Guthrie and unanimously
approved by the Court that this appointment be approved with a salary of x"200 per month, payable
semimonthly, beginning June 1st, 1954. Salary to be paid out of Dog Tags Registration Fund.

Tris the 18th day of June A.D. 1954 came on to be considered by ti:e Court, the request of
of E. H. Nichols, Tax Assessor and Collector, Kerr County Texas, for the Court to set the rates
for livestock, cultivated and grazing land.
It appearing to the court that the previous assessment fixed are as follows to-wit:
X20.00 per head for cattle; X3.00 per head en s'r.~ep; ~<_.;"',G peer head on goats; ~15.OC an acre
on cultivated land and 53.00 to w5.00 per acre on grazing fond; and that in their descreticn
these rates should be refixed for the year 195; therefore by motion duly :wade by Guthrie, se-

directed to make assessments as above stated.
