NOVEL'EER A.P.. 1954, same being the SECOND DAY OF NOVEP,IBER, A. D. 1954; and notice thereof is
hereby given to the people as required by Article 24, Chapter 4, of the Election Code of Texas
(Article 4.01, Vernon's Annotated Revised Civil Statutes of the State of Texas); and the County
Judge cf each county is directed to cause said election to be held at each precinct in the County
at such time and for the folldwing i,urposes:
Said general election shall be held for the purpose of electing State and District Officers,
Members of Congress, Members of the Legislature, and all officers who are elective every two
years; and
FOR THE rURTEER PURPOSE OF electing officers to fill the unexpired terms of offices, vacan-
cies in which have heretofore been filled by appointment, as provided in Article 4, Section 12
of the Constitution of Texas; and
F(`R THE FURTHER PURPOSE OF adopting or rejecting Constitutional Amendments submitted by the
53rd Legislature oP Texas at its Regular Session in 1953.

On t2-iis day came on to be heard the cpplication of Robert Lee It4osty and Fhil Swayze for
a recommendation by the Commissioners' Court of an application to the State Soil Conservation
Board for Federal Planning Assistance for PJatershed Protection on Verde Creek in Kerr County
Texas; and after due consideration thereof, it is ordered, adjudged and decreed that ttie making
of said application be, and the same is hereby recomrr.ended by this court, for Verde Creek and
for any other watersried in Kerr County Texas; and it is further ordered that such recommendation
be signed by Judge Jno. R. Leavell, the presiding officer of this court on behalf of the entire
court.

ing Peterson Drive and Roy Street, in the amount of X1595.00, payable out of Lateral Road and
Bridge No. 1. By motion duly made by Goff, sec^nded by Fo.vell and unanimously approved by the
court that the same be approved for payment.
