REFS County Clerk when, among other proceedings had, were the following: There came on to be considered the returns of an election held in said County on the 23rd day of October 1954, on the following proposition: PROPOSITION Shall the Commissioners Court of Kerr County Texas, be authorized to issue bonds of said County in the sum of X225,000.00, payable serially ~Nithin thrity-five (35) years from date, bearing interest at the rate not exceeding three and one-half (3-1/2~) per cent per annum, and to levy a tax sufficient to pay the current interest on said bonds and create a sinking fund sufficient to redeem them at maturity, Por the purpose of constructing permanent improvements for Flood Control purposes, in said County, as authorized by the Constitution arrd Laws of the State of Texas, including Article 7048-A of the Revised Civil Statutes of Texas. AND IT APPEARING that said election was in all respects legally held after due notice had been given and that the said returns were duly and :legally made, and that there were cast, at said election 1485 valid and legal votes, of which number there were cast: ~, FOR THE ISSUANCE OF THE PONDS AND THE LEVYING OF THE TAX IN PAYMENT THEREOF - 1122 votes. AGAINST THE ISSUANCE OF TH.E BONDS AND THE LEVY.CNG OF TrIE TAX IN PAYIvIENT THEREOF- 363 votes. IT IS THEREFORE ORDERED AND DECLARED by the Commissioners' Court of Kerr County Texas, that said proposition was sustained by a majority o]° the qualified property taxpaying voters, who owned taxable property in said County and who had duly rendered the same for taxation, and that the Commissioners Court is Authorized to issue said bonds, and to levy and have assessed and collected said tax in payment thereof out of the: tax of not to exceed fif teen (15~) cents on each X100.00 valuation of taxable property in said County, heretofore authorized at an elec- tion held for that purpose on the 30th day of August, 1951.
