REES County Clerk when, among other proceedings had, were the following: There came on to be considered the returns of an election held in said County on the 23rd day oP October 1954, on the following proposition: PROPOSITION Shall the Commissioners Court of Kerr County Texas, be authorized to issue bonds of said County in the sum oP X225,000.00, payable serially within thrity-five (35) years Prom date, bearing interest at the rate not exceeding three and one-half (3-1/2) Per cent per annum, and to levy a tax sufficient to pay the current interest: on said bonds and create a sinking Pund sufficient to redeem them at maturity, for the purpose of constructing permanent improvements for Flood Control purposes, in said County, as authorized by the Constitution and Laws of the State of Texas, including Article 7048-A of the Rev'Lsed Civil Statutes oP Taxes. AND IT APPEARING that said election was in all respects legally held after due notice had been given and that the said returns were duly and :Legally made, end that there were cash at .-~ said election 14g5 valid and legal votes, of which number there were cast: ~ FOR THE I.S.SUANCE OF THE PONDS AND THE LEVYING OF THE TAX IN PAYMENT THEREOF - 1122 votes. AGAINST THE ISSUANCE OF THE BONDS AND THE LEVYING OF TrIE TAX IN PAYMENT THEREOF- 363 votes. IT IS THEREFORE ORDERED AND DEGZARED by the Commissioners' Court oŁ Kerr County Texas, that said proposition was sustained by a majority o:P the qualified property taxpaying voters, who owned taxable property in said County and who had duly rendered the same for taxation, and that the Commissioners Court is Authorized to issue said bonds, and to levy and have assessed and collected said tax in payment thereof out of the tax of not to exceed fifteen (15~) cents on each X100.00 valuation of taxable property in said Couhty, heretofore authorized at an elec- tion held Por that purpose on the 30th day of August, 1951. The above order being read, it was moved and seconded that same do pass. Thereupon the question being called for, the following members of the Court voted AYE: L. M. Guthrie, V. D. Therefore, by motion duly made by Powell, second- ed by Bartel and unanimously approved by the Court that the sum of X121.50 be paid J.D.Jones, out of Kerr Co.
