Governor of the State of Texas, ordering a General
Election to be held throughout the State of Texas on
the Tuesday next after the first Monday in November
A, D, 1954, same being the SECOND DAY OF NOVEMBER,
A. D. 1954, for the purposes set forth therein.

ELECTION ORDER BY THE COUNTY JUDGE OF KERR COUNTY, TEXAS
KNOW YE, that I, Jno, R. Leavell, County Judge of Kerr County, Texas,
do by virtue of the authority vested in me by law, hereby order and direct that a
GENERAL ELECTION be held in the County of Kerr and State of Texas, on
TUESDAY, the 2nd day of NOVEMBER, A, D, 1954, for the election of County
Judge, County Attorney, County Clerk, District Clerk, Sheriff, Assessor and
Collector of Taxes, County Treasurer, County Surveyor, County Commissioner
Precinct No. 1, County Commissioner Precinct No. 2, County Commissioner
Precinct No. 3, County Commissioner 1 recinct No. 4, Justice of the Peace Pre-
cinct No. 1, Justice of the Peace Precinct No. 2, Justice of the Peace Precinct
No. 3, Justice of the Peace Precinct No. 4, Constable Precinct No. 1, Constable
Precinct No. 2, Constable Precinct No. 3, Constable Precinct No. 4, Public
Weigher Precinct No. 1, Public Weigher Precinct No. 2, Public Weigher Precinct
No. 3, Public Weigher Precinct No. 4, and Inspector of Hides and Animals; and,
FOR THE FURTHER PURPOSE of adopting or rejecting Constitutional
Amendments submitted by the 53rd Legislature of Texas at its Regular Session
in 1953.

TO ALL TO WHOM THESE PRESENTS SHALL COME:
BE IT KNOWN THAT I, Allan Shivers, Governor of the State of Texas,
do hereby order a General Election to be held throughout the State of Texas on
TUESDAY NEXT AFTER THE FIRST MONDAY IN NOVEMBER A, D.
1954, same being the SECOND DAY OF NOVEMBER, A. D. 1954; and notice
thereof is hereby given to the people as required by Article Z4, Chapter 4, of
the Election Code of Texas (Article 4.01, Vernon's Annotated Revised Civil
Statutes of the State of Texas); and the County Judge of each county is directed
to cause said election to be held at each precinct in the county at such time and
for the following purposes;
Said general election shall be held for the purpose of electing State and
District Officers, Members of Congress, Members of the Legislature, and all
officers who are elective every two years; and
FOR THE FURTHER PURPOSE OF electing officers to fill the unexpired
terms of offices, vacancies in which have heretofore been filled by appointment,
as provided in Article 4, Section 1Z of the Constitution of Texas; and
FOR THE FURTHER PURPOSE Or' adopting or rejecting Constitutional
Amendments submitted by the 53rd Legislature of Texas a.t its Regular Session
in 1953.
