GRANTING APPLICATION QF TAX ASSESSOR AND COLLECTC"R FOR DEPUTIES.. This the 1st day of January, A. D. 1955, came on to be considered by the Court the app~.ication of E. g. Nichols, Tax Assessor and Collector of Kerr County, Texas, applying for authority to appoint five deputies and extra help at proposed salary of X11,147.50 which application shows the probable receipts of his office for the ensuing year to be X19,200.00 with additional disbursements not including the deputies applied for in the amount of X1,290.00. It appearing to the Court that this application should be granted in so far, as the deputies applied for is concerned, and that the proposed salaries applied for, be rejected at this time, and that said salaries should be approved and fixed by the Court, sitting at its regular January term. Therefore motion duly made by Powell, seconded by Bartel, and unanimously approve by the Court, that said officer is entitled to the deputies as set out in said application and that the salaries indicated therein be rejected and sha 11 be fixed by this Court at its regular
