No. 6815. GRANTING APPLICATION OF COUNTY CLERK FbR TVVO DEPUTIES AND/8R ASSISTANTS.
This the 1st day of January, A. D. 1955, came on to be considered by the court the
application of R. V• Nichols, County Clerk, of Kerr Oounty, applying for authority to
appoint two deputies and/or assistants at a proposed salary to be fixed by the Comm-
issioners Court at its regular Ja nuarS' Term, 1955, which application shows probable receipts
of approximately X9000.00 and probable disbursements not including deputies applied for, in
the approximate amount of ?1300.00, an3 it appearing to the court that said application should
be granted. Therefore by motion duly made by Powell, seconded by Bartel, and unanimously
approved by the Court that the application should be approved as prayed for.

This the 1st day of January, A. D. 1955, came on to be considered by the court, the
application of R• V• Nichols, County Clerk, for his authority to appoint and deputize
Emmie bi. p2uenker as Chief Deputy County Clerk, and it appearing to the Court that said
officer is entitled to acid chief deputy, and that said application should be approved; there-
fore by motion duly made by Powell, seconded by Bartel, and unanimously approved by the Court,
that said officer is authorized to deputize said chief deputy and that said appointment is to
date from January 1st, 1955, and to continue in force until revoked by said officer or be
otherwise terminated and that the compensation of said chief deputy is to be paid solely from
the fees of said office.

entitled to said deputy, and that said application should be approved; therefore by motion

officer is authorized to deputize said deputy and that said appointment is to date from
January 1st, 1955, and to continue in force until revoked by said officer or be other~.vise

No.~6818. GRANTING APPLICATION OF TAX ASSESSGR AND COLLECTOR FbR D~UTIFS.
This the 1st day of January, A. D. 1955, came on to be considered by the Court the
app~.ication of E. H. Nichols, Tax Assessor and Collector of Kerr County, Texas, applying for
authority to appoint five deputies and extra help at pro posed salary of $$11,147.50 which
application shows the probable receipts of his office for the ensuing year to be X19,200,00
with additional disbursements not including the deputies applied for in the aunt of X1,290,00.
It appearing to the Court that this application should be granted in so far, as the deputies
,,-I applied for is concerned, and that the proposed salaries applied for, be rejected at this
time, and that said salaries should be approved and fixed by the Court, sitting at its regular
• January term. Therefore motion duly made by Potivell, seconded by Bartel, and unanimously approve
by the Court, that said officer is entitled to the deputies as set out in said application and
that the salaries indicated therein be rejected and sha 11 be fixed by this Court at its regular
