N0. 6823. ORDER AUTHORIZING APPOINTMENT OF HELEN JAh~S, DEPUTY TAX ASSESSOR AND COLLECTOR.
This the 1st day of January, A. D., 1955, came on to to considered by the Court, the
application :~f E. H. Nichols, Tax Assessor and Collector for his authority to appoint aryl
deputize Helen James as Deputy Tax Assessor and Collector and it appearing to the court that
said officer is entitled to said deputy and that said application should be approved; therefore
by motion duly made by Powell, seconded by Bartel and unanimously approved by the Court, that
said officer be authorized to deputize said deputy and that said appointment is to date from
January 1st, 1955, and to continue in force until revoked by said officer or be otherwise
terminated and that the compensation of said deputy is to be paid solely from the fees of said
office.

No. 6824. ORDER AUTHORIZING COUNTY TREASURER TO CREDIT BOOKS '~IITH X86.80 TO GENERAL FUND.
fln this the 1st day of January, A. D. 1955, came on to be heard the application of
Geo. D. Luther, County Treasurer, to adjust Bank Records and crediting books with X86.80
excess in Chas. Schreiner Bank, existing prior to 1954, caused by a number ofsmall checks
-- not being cashed since 1953 and earlier (no complete record of same ~n file). Therefore by
motion made by Goff, seconded by Guthrie, and unanimously approved by the Court, it is
ordered by the Court that the Co~.anty Treasurer be and he is hereby authorized to credit the
sum of X86.80 to the General Fund as of December 31st, 1954.

No. 6825. ORDER AUTHORIZING COtTNTY TREASURER TO CANCEL CHECK N0. 2210 TO SINCLAIR OIL CO.
On this the 1st day of January, A. D. 1955, came on to be herd the application of Geo.
D• Luther, County Treasurer, to cancel Check No. 22,10, issued to Sinclair Oil Company on
March 9th, 1954, in the sum of35.93 and reported never having ueen received by Payee, and
entire amount due having been paid as balances carried on subsequent stet ements, and nothing
further being due vendor for same, and that payment should be stopped on said check and credit-
ed to the General Fund. Therefb re by motion duly made by Goff, seconded by Guthrie, and
unanimously approved by the Court, it is ordered by the Court that the County Treasurer stop
payment on the above mentioned check and credit same to the General Fvnd, as of December 31st,
1954.

No. 6826. GRANTING APPLICATION OF SHE RIFF FiAR DEPUPI ES.
On this the 1st day of January, A. D., 1955, came on to be considered bg the Court the
application of Oliver I~4oore, Sheriff of Kerr County, applying for authority to appoint three
deputies at a proposed salary to be fixed by the Commissioners Co urt at its regular January
tern, 1955, which application skews probable receipts of approximately X2200.00, and it
appearing to the Court that said application should be granted. Therefore by tr~otion duly
made by Guthrie, seconded by Goff and unanimously approved by the Court that the application
should be approved as prayed for.

seconded by Goff, and unanimously approved by the court that said officer is authorized to
deputize said deputy and that said appointment is to date from January 1st, 1955, and to
