N0. 6948. INCREASE JURY COMMISSION AND PETIT JURY SERVICE TO $5.00 I~TDR COUNTY AND DISTRICT COURTS.
On this the 14th day of March, A. D. 1955, came on to be considered by the Court the matter
of increasing the pay for jury commission and jury service for the County and District Courts
to X5.00 per day, and pay for meals when held over at night on felony cases, as passed by the
53rd Legislature. Wherefore, the Court is of the opinion that such services should be increas-
ed to 5.00. Therefore, by motion duly made by Guthrie, seconded by Goff, and unanimously
approved by the Court that the Jury Commission and Petit Jury Service for the County and
District Courts should be increased and allowed in the amount of x"5.00 per diem and that the
County is to pay for each Petit Jurors' meal when held over at night on felony cases.

N0. 6949. APPROVAL OF AND READING OF MINUTES.
This the 14th day of l;larch, A. D. 1955, after motion having been duly made by Guthrie
seconded by Bartel and unanimously approved by the Court, that the minutes of the Commissioners
Court from page 436 to 447, inclusive, be approved as read.

NO. 6950. PURCHASE OF RIGHT OF VdAY FROPa OTTO SCHWETHELis4 FY}R HIGH!P7AY 16. -~
On this the 14th day of March, A. D. 1955, came on to be heard and considered by the Court
the matter of purchase oŁ Right of Way from Otto Schwethelm for Highway No. 16, and moving of
fence and building of two cattle guards, and after due consideration by the Court, it is order-
ed that the County pay Otto Schwethelm the sum of X1945.00 out of Highway No. 16 Fund for Right
of GVay for Highway ATO. 16 and moving of the fence and County to build two cattle guards and
take up the posts, PJIr. Schwethelm is to build his own fence, on motion duly made by Goff second-
ed by Bartel and unanimously anpro ved by the Court.

N0. 6951. ORDER AUTHORIZING TERRACING CONTRACT ~PJITH OTIS P111.'REDITH, PRECINCT N0. 4.
This the 14th day of March, A. D. 1955, after motion by Guthrie, seconded by Bartel, and
unanimously approved by the C0 urt, that the application execut ed by Otis Meredith, Precinct No.
4, be approved and contract entered into by and between the Comissioner of Precinct No. 4 and
aforementioned party, as per contract on Pile, under Art. 2372c.

NO. 6952. ALLOkVANCE OF CLAIMS AND ACCOUNTS.
On this the 15th day of Pdarch, A. .D. 1955, came on to be examined by the Court, the
various claims and accounts filed against Kerr County and its respective Commissioners' pre-
cincts since the last term of the Court, all of which claims and accounts were approved by
the Court for payment by the County Clerk in amounts and aaut of respective funds as shop^~n
by the Minutes of Accounts allowed for Kerr County, Texas, which are made a part of this order,
and on motion duly made by Guthrie, seconded by Bartel, and unanimously approved by the Court
that said claims and accounts be allo~d as shown by the Minutes of Accounts allowed.

N0. 6953. pAYMENT OF X500.00 TO THE COUNTY CLn"RK AS PER ARTICLE X3932, R. C. S.
This the 15th day of March, A. D. 1955, came on to be presented to the Court by R. V.
Nichols, County Clerk, the necessity Por funds for the operation of his office, as set out in
Article 3932 R. C. S. It appearing t o the Court that said officer is entitled to funds as set --
out therein and that he should be allowed the sum of X500.00, payable to the County Clerk Fund.
By motion made by Guthrie seconded by Goff, the County Clerk be and is hereby authorized the
sum of X500.00, payable to the County Clerk Fund, by proper voucher drawn on General Fund of
Kerr County.
