Rape, County Service Officer of Kerr County, and it appearing to the Court that said County Service Officer's salary should be fixed at X600.00 per annum. Therefore by motion duly made by Guthrie, seconded by Goff and unanimously approved by the Court, that Thos. H. Rape, Salary County Service Officer's/should be fixed at X600.00 per annum, payable in monthly installments of X50.00, beginning March 1st, 1955, and that the County Treasurer is hereby directed to draw vouchers in said amount, at the close of each month on the General Fund of Kerr County. o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o NO. 6971. TRANSFER OF $10,000.00 FROM ROAD AND BRIDGE FUND TO HIGHWAY 16 RIGHT OF VJAY FUND. This the 15th day of March, A. D. 1955, came on to be considered by the Court the desire to co-operate with the Texas Highway Department on the straightening and improving of State High- way 41 extending from Highway 27 at Mountain Home a distance of approximately 21-1/2 miles to Kerr-Real County line. Wherefore, the Court will be obligated to furnish all required ri~ht- of-way free of cost to the State at which time the State will straighten and improve said ri~-ht-of-way by reconstruction of grading, structures and surfacing and state maintenance at no expense of the County, which will be of great benefit to the County as a whole. Therefore, motion duly made by Lee Goff and seconded by L. ni. Guthrie, and unanimously approved by the Court that the above described portion of said Highway 41 be improved and straightened by reconstruction of grading, structures, and surfacing by the State of Texas subject to the condition that Kerr County will furnish all required right-of-way and remove fences on said right-of-vaaY free of cost to the State.
