N(}. 6976. ORDER AUTHORIZING COUNTY TO PURCHASE 4.24 ACRE TRACT OF LAND FOR TEXAS NATIONAL
GU :RD ARMC?RY.
BE IT RENIEP,"~ERED, tIIat on this the 1st day of April, 1955, at a Special Session in the
April Term of the Commissioners' Court of Kerr County, Texas, upon motion made by Goff and
seconded by Guthrie, it was unanimously adopted that the order of this Court, No. 6899, dated
January 28, 1955, be in all. things cancelled, rescinded and of no further force and effect.
~ Upon motion made by Goff, seconded by Guthrie, that Kerr County, Texas, purchase from
E. B. Meeker, 3.21 acres of land; and 1.03 acres from John E. Decker, Jr., both tracts described
as follows:
A 3.21 acre tract of land, a part of Survey No. 113, Samuel Plallace, Kerr County, Texas,
being described by metes and bounds as follows: Beginning at an iron pipe set in the northwest
line of what is known as the Meeker Tract, same being the southeast line of a certain tract of
land conveyed to John E. Decker by the Guaranteed Home Financing Company described in a deed of
record in Vol. 82, Page 265, of the Deed Records of Kerr County, Texas, said point teing 350
feet S. 45° W; from the east corner of said Decker Tract and said beginning point being the
North corner of the hereir. described tract; Thence S. 45° W. witPi the dividing line between
said Meeker Tract and above-mentioned Decker Tract 400 feet to an iron pipe set for the iNest
corner of the herein described tract; Thence S. 45 E. 350 feet to an iron pipe set for the
South corner of the herein described tract; Thence N. 45° E. 400 feet to an iron pipe set for
~^- the east corner of the herein described tract; Thence N. 45° W. 350 feet to the place of
i beginning. And a 1.03 acre tract of land, a part of the Samuel Wallace Survey No. 113, Kerr
County, Texas, described by metes and bounds as follows: Beginning at an iron pipe set in the
Southeast line of that certain tract of land conveyed to John E. Decker by the Guaranteed Home
Financing Company and described in a deed of record in Vol. 82, Page 265, of the Deed Records

of Kerr County, Texas, said point being 450 feet S. 45° W. from the east corner of said Decker
tract and said beginning point being the east corner of the herein described tract; Thence
N. 45° W. 150 feet to a point in the Southeast line of what is known as the upper Oak Park
Road for the North corner of the herein described tract; Thence S. 45° W. 300 feet with the
Southeast line of said upper Oak Park Road to a point for the SVest corner of the herein
described tract; Thence S. 45° E. 150 feet to a point in the Southeast line of the above
mentioned Decker tract for the South corner of the herein described tract said point being in
the dividing line betvaeen the Meeker tract and said above mentioned Decker tract; Thence N.
45° E. with said dividing line 300 feet to the place of beginning. Containing 1.03 acre of
land more or less all in Survey No. 113 in the name of Samuel Wallace, Kerr County, Texas;
That the purchase price of this land shall not exceed X2500.00 for both tracts of ]and; that
such purchase price is fair and reasonable; such property to be conveyed or sold at any price
regardless as to the amount to the Texas Na ional Guard Armory Board and the deed of conveyance
contain a restriction and reversionary clause that the property will be used by the Texas
National Guard Armory Board as an Armory and construction will begin on such property within a
period of two years from the date of said conveyance,~of a suitable building to be used as an
Armory. Furthe~,that in the event the hereinbefore/described property should revert to Kerr
County, Texas, then and in that event said property shall be re-conveyed to the said E. E.
Meeker and John E. Decker, Jr., upon re-payment of the purchase price hereinbefore mentioned.
Conveyance to Rerr County, Texas, to be subject to approval of title thereto by an attorney
for Kerr County, Texas.
The question called, and the motion unanimously carried and adopted.

No. 6977. ACCEPTANCE OF BID CF J. `JJ. DOLLY FOR RE-BINDING BOORS.
On this the 1st day of April, A. D. 1955, came on to be heard and considered the bid of
J. 4V. Dolly for re-binding books in the County Surveyor's Office, and it appearing to the Court
that the Bid of J. V1. Dolly was the only bid offered to the Court and that same is in proper
order and that the same should be accepted by the Court. It is therefore ordered by the Court
that the said J. W. Dolly is hereby authorized to re-bind the County Surveyors Records and
cover said books with canvass jackets according with his bid and specifications, and on b7otion
duly made by Guthrie, seconded by Po.,vel~, the motion unanimously carried and adopted.
