Commissioners Court at a regular meeting on the 11th day of March, A. D. 1957, intends to rais
the salary of the Sheriff oP Kerr County, Texas, 1n the amount of $450.00 per year, being en
annual salary 0f $4200.00 per year, in accordance with Section 12, Article 38832, R. C. S.
and on motion duly made by Commi ss Toner Lee Goff, seconded by Commissioner L. M. Gutty rie,
and unanimously approved by the Court that the Clerk is hereby authorized to advertise as abov
stated.

Court the matter of payment of claim of the City of Kerrville in the amount of $1676.34, out
of the General Fund, being for one-f'o urth of the contract with the City oY Kerrville for fire
fighting outside oŁ the City Limits 0f Kerrville, same being Yor the year 1956, therefore, on
_ motion duly made by ~mmissioner Adolph Bartel, seconded by Commissioner L. M. Guths ie, and
unanimously approved by the Court that the County Clerk be, and is hereby directed to draw
voucher against the County Treasurer in the amount of $1,676.34 payable to the City of Kerr vil
out of the General Fund of Kerr County, for the Cs unty~s pro-rata expense of one-half for Yire
fighting contract Por the year 1956.

request oP E. H. Nichols, Tax Assessor and Cs hector, Kerr County, Texas, Yor the Court to
set the rates for 1lvestoo k, cu~tivat ed and grazing land. It epnearing t~ the Court that the
previous asse ssmenta fixed ere as follows, to Twit: $20.00 per heed for cattle; $3.00 per head
on sheep; $2.00 per heed on goats; end $15.00 an acre on cultivated land and $3.00 to $5.00
per acre on grazing land; and that in their discretion these rates should be refixed fbr the
year 195'/; therefore by motion duly made by Commissioner Adolph Bartel, seoond ed by Commission
Lee Co ff, and une nimJ USly approved by the Court that the Tax Ass esaor and Co lleotor be and is
hereby directed to assess livesto0k and lend as follows, to-wit: Cattle $20.00 par Head; Shee
$3.00 per heed; Goats $2.00 per heed, cultivated lflad $15.00 per acre end grazing land $3.00
