Art. 331, Vernon'a Civil Statut ea, said assistant or assistants to qusl ify by taking and
filing the proper oath and to hold office st the pleasure of the County Attorney and withou

This the 21st day of December 1959, came on to be presented to the Court the applicatio
by E. H. Nichols, Tax Aeeesaor and Collector of Kerr County, Texas, for seven special poll
tax deputies to assist in issuing poll tax receipts throughout Kerr County, and it appearing
to the Court that the Special Deputles applied for are willing to perform such duties with-
out any coat to Kerr County; that said officer should be allowed to make said appointments
and that this Court should enters confirmation for same; therefore, by motion duly made by
Commissioner Powell, seconded by Commissioner Hertel and unanimously approved by the Court,
to deputize the following t.o sell poll taxes:

claim was approved by the Court for payment by the County Clerk and County Treasurer, out o
General Fund. Motion made by Commissioner Stone, seconded by Commissioner Bartel and unani

~ N0. 8466 PROPOSED SALARY INCREASES FOR COUNTY CLERK AND COUNTY TA% ASSESSOR AND COLLECTOR
The Commiesioner'e Court of Kerr County, Texas, in Special Term, convened on December
21st, 1959, and did take under advisement the matter of increase in salaries per annum Łor
the County Clerk and County Taa Assessor and Collector for the year 1960, and publication
ordered pursuant to Article 38831. Motion duly made by Commieei oner Powell and deoonded
by Commissioner Stone that an increase of $700.00 per annum for each official be paid, out
of OfficereSalary Fund. Motion carried.
