This the 21st day of December 1959, came on to be presented to the Court the applicatio
by E. H. Nichols, Tax Assessor and Collector of Kerr County, Tezae, for seven speoial poll
tax deputies to assist in issuing poll tax receipts throughout Kerr County, and it appearing
to the Court that the Special Deputies applied For are willing to perform ouch duties with-
out any coat to Kerr County; that said officer should be allowed to make said appointments
and that this L'ourt should enter a cunfirmation For same; therefore, by motion duly made by
Commissioner Powell, seconded by Commissioner Bartel and unanimously approved by the Court,
to deputize the following to sell poll taxes:

The Commissioner's Court of Rerr County, Texas, in Special Term, convened on December
21st, 1959> and did take under advisement the matter of increasa in salaries per annum for
the County Clerk and County Taz Assessor and Colleator for the year 1960, and publioation
ordered pursuant to Article 38831. Motion duly made by Commisai oner Powell and deoonded
by Commf esloner Stone that an increase of $700.00 per annum for sash ofYioial be paid, out
of Officere~3alary Fund. Motion carried.
