N0, 891$ BIDS FOR WIDENING G STREET BRIDGE CALLED DOWN
On this the 19th day of July 1961, came on to be examined by the Court the five bide that
wars tabled on the widening of G Street Bridge. Oa motion by Commla stoner Bartel, seconded by
Commisalonar Schwethelm, the Court unanimously approved that the bide be sailed down from the
table for further study and consideration.

N0, 8916 ORDER ACCEPTI N3 BID OF FRANK THOMASON FOR WIDENING G STREET BRIDGE
On this the 19th day of July 1961, came on to be heard and oo naldered by the Court the
various bids for widening the G Street Bridge, hareL ofore race ived by the Court on July 10th,
1961 which said bide had been tabled for study pursuant to Order No. 8900.sntered that data,
and xhich bide had been called Prom the table for-further consideration pursuant to Order No.
891$ entered this data, and after due deliberation and study it appearing to the Court that th
bid as submitted by Mr. Frank Thomason of Kerrville, Texas ie the lowest and best bid, it is
Ordered oa motion by Commissioner Stone, seconded by Cocrmmisaioner Sahwethelm and unanimously
approved by the Court that the base bid of Mr, Frank Thomason of Kerrville, Texas to widen the
G, Street Bridge crossing the Guadalupe River as per plena end spec ificationa for the sum of
$13,966,00, together with hie submitted unit prices far oo ntingent factors be in all Lhinga
accepts d, and that the County Judge and County Clerk be authorized to sign -- the at lpulatad
form of contract upon its execution by Mr. Frank Thomason, and it Se further Ordered that upon
the execution of proper performance bond by the contractor and upon approval of said bond by
the Covnty Judge and County Attorney b'y endorsement thereon, the County Judge shall be author-
ized to Saeue proper written orders for the contractor to proceed with actual construction ea
per contract.

N0. 8917 ACCEPTANCE OF OFFERS FROM SCHREINER ROAD FUND AND CITY OF KERRVILLE
On this the 19th day oP July 1961, came on to be heard and cone idered the offer oP the
Schreiner Road Fund to oontr ibute $10,000.00 toward the widening oP the G Street bridge; also
the offer oS the City of Rerrv111e toward the participation in the amount of $2$00,00 and an
amount of sot more than $500.00 Por nontingenn ies. On motion by Commiaeloner Snhwethelm and
duly seconded by Commies ionsr Powell, the Court unanimously voted to accept the above offers.

N0, 8918 EMPLOYMENT OF LESTER B, WRITTON AND COMPENSATION FOR PROFESSIONAL SERVICES
This the 19th day of July 1961, came on Lo be cone idered by the Court the matter of em-
ploying the profeeaional services of Mr. Lester B. Whit ton to supervise the oonetruotion of G
Street bridge; also that ha bs compensated in the amount of $1000,00 for the preparation of
plans and spec Sflcat Iona, and all oP the necessary aupervlaioa Por the cone traction oP G Stree
bridge. Said compensation including services rendered Karr County, passed by Order No. 8880.

approved by the Court.
