N0. 8915 BIDS FOR WIDENING G STREET BRIDGE CALLED DOWN
On this the 19th day of July 1961, oeme on to be examined by the Court the five bids that
were tabled on the widening of G Street Bridge. On motion by Commie aioner Bartel, seconded by
Commissioner Schwethelm, the Court unanimously approved that the bide be called doxn from the
table for Purther study and ao nsideration.

N0. 8916 ORDER ACCEPTZ NG BID OF FRANK THOMASON FOR WIDENINO G STREET BRIDGE
On this the 19th day oP July 1961, came oa to bs heard and oo naidered by the Court the
various bids for widening the G Street Bridge, heretofore received by the Court on July 10th,
1961 which said bide had been tabled for study pursuant to Order No. 8900-entered that date,
and which bide had been aalled from the table Sor~-further coneiderat ion pursuant to Order No.

8915 entered this date, and after due deliberation and study it appo acing to the Court that t ~,
bid sa submitted by Mr. Frank Thomason of Kerrville, Texas is the lowest and beat bid, it Ss
Ordered oa motion by Commissioner Stone, seconded by Commissioner Sohwethelm and unanimously
approved by the Court that the base bid of Mr. Frank Thomeaoa of Kerrville, Texas to widen the
G. Street Bridge crossing the Guadalupe River to per plane and epeo Sficationa for the sum of
$13,966.00, together with hie submitted unit prioes far contingent factors be in all things
aacepte d, and that the County Judge and County Clerk be authorised to sign -- the et ipulated
Corm oP contract upon its execution by Mr. Frank Thomason, and it ie further Ordered that upon
the exeoution of proper performanoe bond by the contractor and upon approval of said bond by
the County Judge and County Attorney by endorsement thereon, the County Judge shall be author-
ized to issue proper written orders Por the aontractor to prooeed xith aotual construction sa
per contract.

N0. 891 ACCEPTANCE OF OFFERS FROM 3CHREINER ROAD FUND AND CITY OF KERRVILLE
On this the 19th day of July 1961, came on to be heard and co nsldarad the offer of the
Schrelnar Road Fund to contribute $10,000.00 toward the xldening of the G Street bridge; also
the offer of the City of Kerrville toward the participation in the amount of X2500,00 and an
amount of not more than X500.00 for aontingenc ies. On motion by Commissioner Sohvethelm and
duly sacon dad by Commissioner Powell, the Court unanimously voted to accept the above offers.

N0, 8918 EMPLOYMENT OF LESTER B. WHITTON AND COMPENSATION FOR PROFESSIONAL SERVICES
This the 19th day of July 1961, came on to be considered by the Court the matter of em-
ploying the profesaloaal services of Mr. Laster B. Whitton to supervise She oonetruotion of G
Street bridge; also that ha be oompensated Sn the amount of $1000.00 for the preparation of
plane and epeo if Scat ions, and all of the necessary aupsrvisioa for the construction of G Stree
bridge. Said oompeaeation inoluding services rendered Karr County, passed by Order No. 8880.
Motion duly made by Conaalas inner Bartel, eaoonded by Commiasio aer Stone and unanimously
approved by the Court.
