xo. 8915 BIDS FOR WIDENING G STREET BRIDGE CALLED DOWN
On this the 19th day of July 1961, oame on to be examined by the Court the five bide that
ware tabled on the widening oP O Street Bridge. On motion by Cammiasioner Bartel, seconded by
Coa˘niseioner Schwethelm, the Court unanimously approved that the bide be oslled down from the
table for Purthsr study and aoneideration.

N0. 8916 ORDER ACCEPTIPR} BID OF FRANK THOMASON FOR WIDENING G STREET BRIDGE
On this the 19th day oP July 1961, came on to b• heard and oonaidered by the Court the
various bids Por widening the G Street Bridge, heretofore received by the Court oa July 10th,
1961 which said bi da had been tabled for study pursuant to Order No. 8900.entered that data,
and which bide had bean oslled from the table Sor-further conaiderat ion pursuant to Order No.

8915 entered this date, and after due deliberation and study it appearing to the Court that t
bid as submitted by Mr. Frank Thomason of Kerrville, Texas Se the lowest and beat bid, 1t Se
Ordered on motion by Commiasloner Stone, seconded by Commissioner Sohwethelm and unanimously
approved by the Court that the base bid of Mr. Frank Thomason oP Kerrville, Texas to widen the
G. Street Bridge crossing the Guadalupe Rivor to per plane end apes ifiaationa Tor the sum of
$13x966,00, together with hie submitted unit pr SOea for contingent faotora be in all things
aacepta d, and that the County Judge and County Clark be authorlaed to sign -- the at ipulated
form of oontrsat upon its execution by Mr. Frank Thomason, and St Sa further Ordered that upon
the axeovtion of proper performance bond by the contractor and upon approval of said bond by
the County Judge and County Attorney by endorsement thereon, the County Judge shall be author-
lzed to ieaua proper written orders for the aontractor to prooeed with aotual construction ae
per contract.

N0. 8917 ACCEPTANCE OF OFFERS FROM SCHREINER ROAD FUND AND CITY OF KERRVILLE
On this the 19th day of July 1961, came on to be heard and co naidered the offer of the
Schreiner Road Fund to oontribute $10,000.00 toward the xidening oP the G Street bridge; also
the offer of the City of Kerrville toward the participation in the amount of $2500,00 and an
amount oP not more than $500.00 Por oontingena ies. On motion by Commissioner Sohwethelm and
duly seconded by Cowaias loner Powell, the Court unanimously voted to accept the above offers.

N0. 8918 EMPLOYMENT OF LESTER S. WHITTON AND COMPENSATION FOR PROFESSIONAL SERVICES
Thin the 19th day of July 1961, came on to be considered by the Court the matter of em-
i ploying the professional eervicea oP Mr. Lester B. Whitton to supervise the oonatruotion of G
Street bridge; also that he bs compensated in the amount of $1000.00 for the preparation of
plans and spec iPicat ions, end all of the necessary auperviaioa for the aonetruction of G Stree
bridge. Said oompansation inoluding aervioee rendered Kerr County, passed by Order No. 8880.
Motion duly made by Coneniaeioner Bartel, eaoonded by Commiesio aer Stone and unanimously
