said reaignat ion was accepted, plus one months vacation with pay, on motion by Commissioner
Stone, seconded by Commissioner Bartel and unanimously approved by the Court.

N0. 8989 ORDER AUTHORIZING APPOINTMENT OF DORIS SMITH AS CHIEF DEPUTY AND SALARY INCREASE
AND SETTING SALARY OF MILTON WENDELL
On this the 30th day of September 1961, came on to be considered by the Court the appli-
cation of Juanita Reeves, Tax Assessor-Collector for authority to promote Doris Smith sa ChleS
Deputy, effective Ootober let, 1961 with an encreass in salary to $3600.00 per annum. Also
that the salary of Milton Wendell ba set at X3000, 00 per annum, effective October let, 1961.
It appearing to the Court that said oi'ficer is entitled to said deputy and increases in
salary and unanimously granted the same, payable out of Officers Salary Fund, on motion made
by Commieaioner Schwethelm and seconded by Commissioner Bartel.

Ligon as Deputy Tax Collector, and it appearing to the Court that Bald offiaar is entitled to
said Deputy and that said appl io anon should be approved; the ref ors on motion by Commies toner
Bartel, seconded by Commieaioner Powell, the Court unanimously approved Lhat said officer bs
authorized to de pvtize Wanda Ligon and that said appointment is to date from October 1, 1961

of $2400.00 per annum, payable out of Officers Salary Fund.
