N0. 9436 ORDER RENEWING FIRE FIGHTING CONTRACT ~dITH THE CITY OF KERRVILLE, TEXAS
On this 13th day of May, 1963 came on to be heard and considered by the Court the matter
of providing Rural Fire Protection for Kerr County, and it appearing to the Court that the
existing Fire Fighting Contract with the City of Kerrville, Texas will expire on I•,ay 31, 1963;
and it further appearing to the Court that the existing contract and the working arrangements
agreed upon thereunder are providing satisfactory rural fire protection for the citizens of
Kerr County and that it would be to the best interests of Kerr County to renew such contract
for a one-year period;
It is therefore Ordered on motion by Commissioner W. C. Schwethelm, seconded by Commis-
sinner Adolph Bartel and unanimously approved by the Court that the existing Fire Fighting
Contract with the City of Kerrville, Texas be renewed for a period of one year commencing on
June 1, 1963 and ending on May 31, 1964 as provided for in Part C of the existing contract,
said renewal to become effective upon the joinder therein by the City of Kerrville by letter
acceptance as provided for by the terms of said Fart C, and it is further Grdered that the
Clerk. of this Court forward a certified copy of this Order to the City of Kerrville, Texas.

Texas, to be paid out of the General Fund and to be used by the Peace Officers on the public
roads of Kerr County, Texas.
Motion made by Commissioner Bartel, seconded by County Judge, Julius k. Neui~hoffer,
with Commissioners Bartel and Schwethelm and County Judge Neunhoffer voting "AYE" and
Commissioners Witt and Stone voting "NO", said motion carrying in the affirmative by a
majority vote.

On this the 13th day of May, 1963, came on to be heard and considered by the Court the
request of the Holland Lumber Company, a Texas Corporation and successor in title to John
E. Decker et ux to certain lands out of Survey 113 Samuel Wallace, to close a certain roadway
across a portion of such lands which roadway constitutes a strip of land 50 feet in width
and 170 feet in length running South 364 degrees East from the Upper Oak Park Road, which
land is described more particularly in a Deed from John E. Decker, et ux to Kerr County as is
of record in Vol. 101 Page 153 Kerr County Deed Records, and it appearing to the Court that

the Holland Lumber Company is now the owner of the abutting former John E. Decker Lands in
^ Survey 113 as well as of the entire tract of land which was to be provided with access to the
Upper Oak Park Road by means of the roadway previously conveyed to Kerr County, and it further
appearing that said strip of land is not now and never has been used as a public roadway or
as a roadway for any purpose and it further appearing that the platting of the proposed
Meadow View Estates by the said Holland Lumber Company will eliminate the need for a roadway
in this location, it is ordered on motion by Commissioner Schwethelm and seconded by Commis-
sicner Stone, and unanimously approved by the Court that the strip of land out of Survey 113,
Samuel Wallace, Abstract 347 as described in the deed of John W. Decker et ux to Kerr County,
Texas as is of record in Vol. 101, Page 153, Kerr County Deed kecords be declared closed and
abandoned as a public roadway, effective upon the filing in the Plat kecords of Kerr County
of the Plat of the Meadow View Estates Subdivision, and that upon the filing of said plat,
the County Judge of Kerr County be authorized to execute a Quitclaim Deed in the name of
Kerr County to the Holland Lumber Co., a Texas Corporation, the said Corporation being the
.-. lawful holder of title to the reversionary rights retained by John E, Decker et ux in their
original conveyance to Kerr County and quitclaimed by them to the said Corporation by instru-
ment recorded in Vol. 115, Page 86 Kerr County Deed kecords.
