On this the 22nd day of August 1963 came on to be heard and considered by the Court the
matter of payment of the amount due as of August 1, 1963 to the Burroughs Corporation as per
rental contract with Kerr County and it appearing to the Court that rental in the amount of
$2,171},66 is due and payable, it is ordered on motion by Commissioner Bartel seconded by
Commissioner Schwethelm and unanimously approved by the Court that the Clerk and the Treasurer
be authorized to draw a voucher on the General Fund in the amount of $2,174,66, payable to the
Burroughs Corporation for payment due as per their invoice No. A91950-008.

N0. 9539 ORDER DIRECTING CONDEMNATION PROCEEDINGS AGAINST ANDREW B, PARIS AND 'dIFE, LORENA
S. PARIS FOR RIGHT-OF-WAY FOR F, M, ROAD 2771
On this the 28th day of August, 1963, came on to be heard and considered by the Court
the necessity of instituting condemnation proceedings against Andrew B. Paris and wife,
Lorene S, Paris, to secure for the State of Texas a parcel of land consisting of 9.502 acres
of land out of Surveys 392, G. W. Braze al, 63, W, T, Crook and 62, W, T, Crook, together with
two channel easements comprising 0,375 acres out of Surveys 392 and 63, all the said lands
being situated in Kerr County, Texas, and
It appearing to the Court that the offer for land and damages made to the said Andrew B_
Paris and wife, Lorene S, Paris by Kerr County as is evidenced by Commissioners' Court girder
No, 9531 entered on the 16th day of August, 1963, and recorded in Vol. M, Page 88 of the
Minutes of the Commissioners Court has been rejected by the said Andrew B. Paris and wife,
Lorene S, Paris, and
It further appearing to the Court that the refection of Kerr County's offer has left
the parties concerned in a position of being unable to agree as to the amount of compensation
to which the said Andrew B, Paris and wife, Lorene S, Paris are entitled to receive for the

said tract of land, channel easements, and damages which would accrue by reason of their
conveyance; and
It further appearing to the Court that further negotiations would be useless and to no
avail, it is therefore Ordered, on motion by Commissioner Stone, seconded by Commissioner
Bartel and unanimously approved by the Court, that Kerr County, acting for and on behalf of
the State of Texas, institute condemnation proceedings in the name of the State of Texas against
the said Andrew B, Paris and wife, Lorene S, Paris, of Kerrville, Kerr County, Texas, to secure
for the State of Texas for right-of-way purposes 9.502 acres of land out of Surveys 392, G, W.
Brazeal, 63, W, T, Crook and 62, W, T, Crook, together with two channel easements comprising
0,375 acres out of Surveys 392 and 63, all the said lands being situated in Kerr County, Texas,
said tracts of land being described and shown mare particularly on the Right-of-way Map of the
Texas Highway Department as made in July, 1963, covering a portion of F,M. Road 2771 from its
intersection with State Highway No, 16 6,5 miles S W of Kerrville, East to F.M. 689, to which
map reference is herewith made; and,
It is further ordered that County Attorney Robert R. Barton be retained to institute
such condemnation proceedings and that he be authorized and directed to proceed forthwith on
behalf of Kerr County, acting for and in the name of the State of Texas,

On this the 28th dap of August 1963, upon motion made by Commissioner Schwethelm, seconded
by Commissioner Witt, and unanimously approved by the Court that the Sheriff of Kerr County,
Texas be authorized to permit the City of Kerrville to use the County Owned Speed Meter Unit at
such times as may be agreed upon, at the discretion of the Sheriffs Department,
