the polls for various elections held within such Counties at 8:00 o'clock A.M. and it appear-
-. ing to the Court that Kerr County's population as shown by the last proceeding Federal Census
was lass than 100,000, and that no useful purpose would be served by the opening of polling
places at 7:00 o'clock A,M., it is ordered on motion by Commissioner Stone, seconded by
Commissioner Bartel and unanimously approved by the Court that pursuant to authority contained
in Section 2,01 of the Texas Election Code as amended by the Acts of the 58th Legislature that
effective this date, the polling places for all elections held within Kerr County shall open
at 8:00 o'clock A.M., it being the intent of this Court that this order shall apply to all
County wide, General and Special elections held at public expense, to all Party Prlmary and
Party Runoff Elections and to all elections of any character conducted by School Districts,
Municipalities, Water Control and Improvement Districts or any other Political Subdivisions
having their principal offices located within the boundaries of Kerr County, Texas.

N0, 9571 APPROVAL OF TERRACING CONTRACTS
In accordance with the provisions of Article 2372c of the Revised Civil Statutes of
^ Texas, the application of Arnold 0. Liesmann for terracing of his land 1 mile SW of Kerrville
on F M Road 689 in Precinct No. 1, the application of Milton Burney for terracing of his land
2 miles Northeast of Center Point in Precinct No. 2 and the application of R. H. Holekamp for
terracing of his land 12 miles East of Kerrville on Old Center Point Road in Precinct No. 3
were approved by the Court and contracts entered into by and between the Commissioners of
Precincts Nos. 1, 2 and 3 and aforementioned parties,
Motion made by Commissioner Bartel, seconded by Commissioner Schwethelm and unanimously
approved by the Court.

N0, 9572 APPROVAL OF COUNTY CLERK'S QUARTERLY REPORT ON TRUST FUND AND FINES
On this the 14th day of October, 1963, came on to be examined by the Court the Quarterly
Report of all monies and fees collected by Emmie M, Muenker, County Clerk, belonging to
officers, witnesses and other persons, remaining in her hands uncalled for bq the parties
^ entitled thereto, for the period ending September 30, 1963 and held on deposit in the County
Clerk's Trust Fund in the amount of X2366,29.
Also @uarterly Report of Fines Imposed, Jury and Library Fees, Judgments received and
collected in the County Court by the Clark of said Court, in the amount of 906.00.
It appearing to the Court that said reports are in due Porm and should be approved;

animously approved said reports as submitted, to be filed with the County Clerk.

the matter of the following report of County Treasurer, Mrs, E. M, McDonald in the matter
of the following payments made into the Pan American Life Insurance Fund in the Kerr County
Treasury by Virgil Storms and Vernon D, Powell, former County Officials, now deceased:

authorized to draw two vouchers on the Pan American Insurance Fund in the County Treasury, one

This the 14th day of October 1963, upon motion made by Oommissioner Witt, seconded by
Commissioner Bartel, it was unanimously approved by the Court that the monthly allowance of
Larry Lackey be terminated, effective November 1, 1963.

N0. 9576 ORDER APPROVING APPOINTMENT OF WZLMA FITZGERALD AND BETTY TREDUL AS FULL TIME
DEPUTY CLERKS
This the 14th day of October 1963, came on to be considered by the Court the application
of Emmie M. Muenker, County Clerk, for authority to appoint and deputize Wilma Fitzgerald and
Betty Tredul as full time Deputy Clerks, and it appearing to the Court that said officer is
entitled to said Deputies and that the application should be approved; therefore on motion
made by Commissioner Stone, seconded by Commissioner Schwethelm, the Court unanimously approv-
ed that said officer bŪ authorized to deputize Wilma Fitzgerald as full time employee at a
salary of X200.00 per month and that said officer be authorized to deputize Betty Tredul as
full time employee at a salary of165,00 per month, effective date of qualification.
