for consideration of the oublic, a Budget for the Control of the County Financial Affairs
d,~ring the fiscal year January 1st, 1965 to December 31, 1965, the same to be at a public
hearing to be held August 28, 1964 at 9:00 otclock A.i1, in the Kerr County Co:nmissiuners' Court
Room of the Courthouse in Kerrville, Texas.

of Kerr County, Texas, from pages 166 thru 174, Volume M,

On this the 10th day of August, 1964 came on to be heard and considered by the Court the
locking of a gate across the Ashton Road, a public roadway in irecinct PIo, 4 of Korr County,
and it appearing to the Court that the said Ashton Road has been continuously maintained and
kept in repair as a public roadway by various County Commmissioners of Precinct Pdo, 4 of Kerr
County for many years and that such fact is further verified by an affidavit executed by former
County Co.r:issionar Lee Goff as is of record in Vol. 104, Fage 581, Kerr County Deed Records,
which affidavit is hereby incorporated by reference into the terms of this order and made a
part hereof for all purposes, and it arpearing to the Court that the erection of a locked gate
across such public roadway is contrary to and in violation of the laws of this State and
further contravenes the duty of the Co~:missioner's Court to keep all established public roadways
unobstructed for use by the rublic, it is therefore ordered. on motion by Commissioner Stone,
seconded. by Commissioner Bartel and unanimously approved by the Court .:hat George E, Ross,
a. resident of Kerr County, Texas, be ordered to remove all locks and connecting chains from
such gates as he may have erected- or may hereafter erect across the said Ashton Road, out that
he bo r,ermitted to retain all necessary and properly constructed gates across said roadway
but to lsave them so latched that the public n:ay readily open, pass through an3 re.close the
same and it is further ordered that tha Clerk of this Court shall prepare a certified copy of
this order and attach thereto a certified copy of that certain affidavit recorded i.n Vol. lOl},
