'"' County comprising approximately 6.2 miles of the existing route of said roadway and commencing
at a point ll.,l miles southeast of State Highway Tdo, 16 and running to a point 6 miles south;
and it appearin tc the Gourt that the reconstruction of this portion of F. M. Road 689 to
standards adequate to accomodate present and future traffic needs is essential and in the best
interests cf both Kerr County and the public as a whole; and it further appearing to the Court
that Kerr County will have available during tkre calendar year 1966 sufficient funds not other-
wise committed to procure and fence the additional right-of-way required by the Texas Highway
Department, it is ordered on motion by Commissioner Mosty, seconded by Commissioner Stone and
unanimously arproved by the Court that Kerr County hereby accepts ~iie proposal of the Texas
Highway De,-artment to reconstruct that portion of F, i'i, Road d69 in Kerr County as above set
forth and that Kerr County hereby agrees to purchase and fence the necessary additional right-
of-way required, duirg so, when requested, during the calendar year 1966; and it is further
ordered that cert. ified copies of this Order be furnished the Texas Highway Department,

On this the 27th day of August 1965 came on tc be heard and considered by the Court the
matter of the L.cecution of a Quitclaim Deed by Kerr County to ~3enne L, AJiedenfeld and wife
Clarice Wiedenfeld as to two parcels of abandoned Right-of-lJay of F, iii, Road uSq, and it
appearing to the Court that pursuant to Crder Ivo. 5131 ent©red on i~iarch 17, 1962 Y,err County
did agree to request the 'T'exas Hi~iway Department tv return to Kerr County certain portions
of Right-of-gray of F, trf, Road 689 scheduled for abardonrnent and to in turn convey said abandon-
ed Right-oS'-'a ay to I~ir, and IQrs, cJiedenfeld as a portion of the consideration due them for their
granting certain Right-of-Gray and Channel Easements to the State of Texas for the purpose of
relocating `r',ri, Road 689, and it furtiior appearing to the Court that pursuant to Orders No,
9972 and N'o, y98~ entered on Aril 12, 1965 and May 10, 1965 tl,e State of Texas has by Deed
duly recorded in the Kerr County Deed Records quitclaimed the portions of abandoned Rigilt-of-
Iday referred to in Order iQos. 9151}, which. abandoned right-of-way comprises 12.190 acres of land
being 6.516 acres out of ~dm, "Matt Survey No. ~5 and 5,671.; acres out of lwm, l~,att Survey No. 64,
it is therefore ordered. on motion by Comnissi_oner Schweti:elm seconded by Commissioner Stone
and unanimously a-proved by the Court that Kerr Couni;y shall, pursuant to the provision of said
Order No, 13Lr, deliver a Quitclaim Deed to Benno L, ,+iedenfeld and wife, Clarice wiedenfeld as
to the 12.190 acres of abandon©d Right-of-iJay above described, and the County Judge is 'roroby
authorized to execute the necessary Quitclaim Dead for and on behalf of Kerr County.

proposed establishment of a State Child ldelfaro Services Office in Kerr County and it appearing
to the Court that the services proposed to be rendered by the said division oz the State
Department of Public 6~Ielfare would be advantageous to the Courts, schools and other public
agencies of the County and that such useful proposed services are not nova being rendered in
Kerr and surrounding Counties, it is Grdered on metier. by Commissioner Schwethelm, seconded
by Co:~nission.r Bartel, with Commissioners Schw©thelm, Mosty and Bartel voting "AYE" and
Commissioner Stone voting "NO", said motion carrying by a majority vote, that Kerr County
through its County Judge join in tha request of the City of Kerrville, the Kerrville Independ-
ent School District and other interested parties in requesting the Commissioner of Public
Fielfare to establish a State Child itielfare Sarvices Office in Karr County and it is further
ordered that Kerr County will, ul;on request, contribute an amount not in excess of Y 25,00 per
month towards defraying the cost of providing office spat©, utilities and janitorial services
necessary for the function of the said Child Welfare Services Office.
