On this the 3rd day of Septarnber 1965 came on to be heard and considered by the Court the
proposed establishment of a St, ate Child lvelfaro Services Office in Kerr County and it appearing
to the Court that the services proposed to be rendered by the said division of the State
Department of Public Welfare would be advantageous to the Courts, schools and other public
agencies of the County and that such useful proposed services are not nova being rendered in
Kerr and surrounding Counties, it is Ordered on metier, by Commissioner Schwethelm, seconded
be Co.r~aissioner Bartel, with Commissioners Schwethelm, Mosty and Bartel voting "AYE" and
Commissioner Stone voting "NO", said motion carrying by a majority vote, that Kerr County
through its County Judge join in the reauest of the City of Kerrville, the Kerrville Independ-
ent School District and other interested parties in requesting the Commissioner of Public
;Ilfare to establish a State Child h+elfare Services Office in Karr County and it is further
ordered that Kerr County will, u on request, contribute an amount rot in excess of y 25,00 par
month towards defraying the cost of providing; office space, utilities and janitorial services
necessary for the function of the said Child Welfare Services Office,

lease concerns a portion of the City-County Airport property; and it appearing to the Court

that a portion of the proposed extension of the area covered by the lease and the proposed
extension of the term of said lease are reasonable and in the best interests of the people
of Kerr Count. y, it is ordered on motion by Cemmissicner Stone, seconded by Commissioner Bartel,
and unanimously approved by the Court that Kerr Count;; grant the requested amendments to the
aforesaid lease, insofar as the request to extend the existing area of tract two oY said lease
northward is concerned and as to the basic term of the lease, but not grant the request to
extend existing tract IIo, 2 to include a portion of the present public use area in the proximity
of the southeast corner of ".Tact No. 2;
And it is furtiner ordered that the County Judge be authorized to execute t'r_e said lease
amendment for and on behalf of Korr County, with the said amendment including an extension of
the term of the lease to run for a period of !}G years, co:unencin~ on such date in the year
1965 as may be acceptable tv the City of Kerrville and the Lessors; provided, however, triat
the authority herein ,ranted to execute the said lease shall be exercised only upon corcurroncs
of the City of Kerrville herein and upon file further condition that P-iooney Aircraft, Inc,,
,-. shall first have secured a lease from the Kerr County Industrial Foundation of an adjacent
