On this the 1$th day of October, 19b5 came on to be heard and considered by the Court
the matter of compensation to be offered Mary Belle French, a feme sole, for her conveyance of
Right-of-Way required for State Highway 39 West of Ingram, and after due consideration by the
Court, it is ordered on motion by Commissioner Stone seconded by Commissioner Schwethelm and
unanimously approved by the Court that Kerr County hereby offers to pay Mary Belle French the
sum of $9,25o.O0 for land and damages as consideration for her conveyance to the State of Texas
of 5.034 acres of land out of Survey 130, F. Trevino and 131, J. Beitel West of Ingram, v:ith
such payment to be made upon delivery of her properly executed deed of conveyance, and it is
further ordered that upon delivery of the instrument of conveyance, the Clerk and the Treasurer
be authorized to draw a voucher on the Highway 39 Right-of-Way Fund in the amount of $9,25O.OU
payable to Mary Belle French,

L~'HERSAS, Article 7336£, Vernon's Revised Civil Statutes of Texas, requires that the
Assessor-Collector of Taxes shall cause to be compiled a delinquent tax record; and,
RHERE.4S, Article 7336£ further requires that the Assessor-Collector of Taxes shall cause
to be prepared a two year sup:-lenient, or a recompilation, ..hen as many as two years taxes have
become delinquent which are not shown on the delinquent tax record of his county; snd,
V~HEREAS, The Assessor- Collector of Taxes for Kerr County, Texas deerrs it necessary and
expedient to contract v:ith a comaetent firm to compile said rielir.quent tax record under his
supervision; and,
VdHE13EAS, C. H. Law Tax Records, Inc., with its principal office in Austin, Travis County,
Texas, is engaged in and nov does such work and represenT.s that it is fu11.y equipped, competent
and capable o£ performing the above desired work and is willing and ready to perform said work
in accordance with the provisions of law, rulings of the Comptroller of Public Accounts, Austin,
Texas and suggestions of the Assessor-Collector of 'faxes for Kerr County, Texas; and,
LtiHEREAS, after having made careful. investigation of C. R. Law Tax Records, Inc. sad after
having considered the same, the Assessor-Collector of Taxes for Kerr County, Texas desires to
enter into contract vrith the said C, R, Law 'Cax Records, Inc., for compiling a delinquent tax
record for the years 1939 to 19b4, both inclusive.

Collector agrees to employ and does hereby employ Contractor to compile a delinquent tax
record for Kerr County, Texas for the years 1939 to 1904, both inclusive, showing all the
unredeemed, uncancelled deli.nnuent taxes remaining charged on the official. delinquent tax

records and delinquent lists of Kerr County, Texas for said years.

The general arrangement and set up of the record shall be made as required by law,
rulings of the Comptroller of Public Accounts, Austin, Texas and suggestions of Collector.
The record shall be written on the paper and form prescribed by the Comptroller of Public
Accounts. The record shall he bound as directed by Collector. The expense £or binding the
two conies of the record to be delivered to Kerr County shall be paid by rierr County in addi-
tion to the compensation paid to Contractor for ecmpiling the record.

Contractor shall compare the credits s}:ov;n on the copy of the delinquents tax records and
delinquent lists of Kerr County- on file in the office of the Comptroller of Public Accounts,
Austin, 'Texas v:ith the credits shown on the original copy of said records in the office of
Collector. Contractor shall. report all errors in credits to Collector. Contractor s}:all also
report any errors in description, or other discrepancies discovered during the compilation of
,,.. the record to Collector.

Collector agreest,o furnish contractor satisfactory suace for the performance of that
portion of the v.ork contemplated under this contract which must be performed in the office cf
Collector.

Collector agrees and binds himself and his successors in office to give expeditious
attention to examination and approval of the record and to pay to Contractor upon completion,
delivery° and approval of the delinquent tax record herein provided for and approval of the
account for• compiling the re cc rd the total Burn for said re cc rd; to-wit: Ten Cents (.;.lU)
per item or v;ritten line, including lines of fcotin„s and recapitulation, shown on the
orieinal copy of tl:e record. Said payment to be made in the manner and as is provided by
Article "~33bf, Vernon's itevised Civil Statutes of 'Texas.
