parcels of land consisting of 5,568 acres of land out of the following Surveys located in
Kerr County, Texas: 3,673 acres Survey 1355, S. H, Larrimore, 1,fi96 acres Survey 15119, GC &
SFRR Co, and to further secure for the State of Texas one Channel Easement comprising 0.115
acres out of S. ii, Larrimore Survey 1355; and It appearing to the Court that the offer for
land and damages made to the said Eugene T, Standley as is evidenced by Commissioners' Court
Order No, 10189 entered on the 17th day of February 1966 and recorded in Vol, M, Yage 3116 of
the I4inutes of this Court has been rejected by the said Eugene T, Standley, acting through
his attorney Hon. Joe Burkett, Jr „ and It further appearing to the Court that the rejection
of this and ail other offers by Kerr County has left the parties concerned in a position of
being unable to agree as to the amount of compensation to which the said Eugene T, Standley
and wife, Elizabeth Standley are entitled to receive for the said tracts of land and damages
which would accrue by reason of their conveyance, and it further appearing to the Court that
i3i11 Country Federal Savings and Loan Association, Inc, of Kerrville, Texas, as lien holder
as to the aforesaid lands has execui;ed and delivered a Partial Release of its liens against
the aforesaid lands and Further waived all claims against any compensation to be paid the said
Eugene T, Standley for the Right-of-:fay concerned, and
It further a?~pearing to the Court that further negotiations would be useless and to no
avail, it is therefore ordered on motion by Com.-nissioner Schwethelm, seconded by Commissioner
Mosty and unanimously approved by the Court that Kerr County, acting for and on behalf of the
State of Texas against the said Eugene T, Standley and wife, Elizabeth Standley of Bexar

County, Texas to secure for the State of Texas for Right-of Jay Purposes the aforementioned
5.568 acres of land and to further secure for the State of Texas for purposes of a Channel
Easement the use of the aforesaid 0,115 acres of land, said tracts of land being described
and shown more particularly on the Right-of-Way Map of the 'Pexas Highway Department as approv-
ed October 28, 1965, covering a portion of F M Hoad 1340 from 1.0 miles East of MO Ranch
West through Kerr Wildlife Management Area, to which map reference is herewith made; and
It is further ordered that County Attorney Robert R, Barton be retained to institute
such condemnation proceedings and that he be authorized and directed tc proceed forthwith on
behalf oĢ Kerr County, acting for and in the name of the State of `Texas.

,,_ On this the 12th day of April, 1966, came on tv be heard and considered by the Court
the matter of amending Order No. 10,189 heretofore entered by the Court on the 17th day of
February, 1966, and it appearing to the Court after due consideration that the said Eugene T,
Standley and wife, Elizabeth Standley, have agreed to convey the required ri,;ht-of-way and
channel easement on certain terms which are acceptable to Kerr County and that the said Order
ido. 10,189 should be amended accordingly, it is ordered on motion by Commissioner Stone,
seconded by Commissioner Schwethelm and unanimously approved by the Court that Order No,
10,189 as entered by tho Court on the 17th day of February, 1966, and recorded in Volume M,
Page 346 of the Minutes of the Court be amended to include the following terms in Kerr County's
offer to the said Eugene T. Standley, et al:
1. Kerr County offers to pay Eugene T, Standley and wife Elizabeth T, Standley the sum
of X2,500.00 compensation for land, damages and severance damages as consideration for their
conveyance of the required 5,568 acres of land and granting of the required charmol easement
comprising 0,115 acres of land, with payment to be made directly to them by virtue of the fact
that Dill Country Federal Savings and Loan Assn,, Inc., as lietiholder has granted a partial
release as to its liens against the lands concerned and has by letter waived all claims as to
compensation to be paid by Kerr County therefor.
2, In lieu of the 3 proposed entrance gates on the south side of the rift-of-way convey-
ed, Kerr County will erect 3 cattle guards and three 12 foot steel gates at the following
locations:
a, On the existing North Fork County Road at a point immediately west of the point
where the present Stowers Ranch Road intorsocts tho said iJorth Fork Road, with this cattle
guard to be installed within 30 days of the delivery of the executed right-of-way conveyance.
b. In the south right-of-way line of the new roadway across the end of the old
county roadway in the proximity of Station 170+90.
c. In the south right-of-way line of the new roadway across the end of the old
county roadway in the proximity of Station 207+30.
r-' 3, In addition to closing those remaining segments of the existing public roadway known
as the North Fork Road between the Stowers Ranch Road and a point opposite Station 217+50 of
th.e centerline of the new roadway, Kerr County will, in event of the extension of F, i'4, Road
