" On this the 9th day of May 1966, came on to be examined by the Court the various reports
of April of the County and Precinct Officers of Kerr County, Texas and the same having been
heard and considered by the Court, finds that said reports are true and correct and should
be approved; therefore, upon motion of Commissioner Stone, seconded by Commissioner Schwethelm,
the Court unanimously approved that the submitted reports be accepted and filed with the
County Clerk for future reference and subject to audit,

Commissioner Schwethelm, the Court unanimously approved that the monthly allowance of Robert
Furr be terminated, effective as of May 1, 1966.

T10. 10226 ORDER AUTHORIZING APPOINTMENT OF FRAbTK FEL'PS AS DEPUTY SHr1RIFF
On this the 9th day of May 19u6, came on to be considered by the Court the application
,_,, of Leon T~laples, Sheriff, for authority to appoint and deputize Frank Felts as Deputy Sheriff,
and it appearing to the Court that said officer is entitled to said Deputy and that the
application should be approved; therefore, on motion made by Commissioner i~Iosty, seconded by
Commissioner Bartel, the Court unanimously a;~proved that said officer be authorized to
deputize Frank Felts as Deputy Sheriff, at a salary of X3960.00 per annum, effective as of
May 15, 1966.

N0. 10227 ORDER RENEWING FIRE FIGHTING CONTRACT 6v1TH THE CITY OF Ig:RRVILLE, TEXAS
On this the 9th day of May 1966 came on to be heard and considered by the Court the
matter of providing Rural Fire Protection for Kerr County, and it appearing to the Court that
the existing Fire Fighting; Contract with the City of Kerrville, 'Pexas will expire on May 31,
1966; and it further appearing to the Court that the existing contract and the working
arrangements agreed upon thereunder are providing satisfactory rural fire protection for the
citizens of Kerr County and that it would be to the best interests of Karr Cuunty to renew
such contract for a one-year period;
It is therefore Ordered on motion by Conunissioner Schwethelm, seconded by Commissioner
T•Iosty and unanimously approved by the Court that tho existing Fire Fighting Contract with
the City of Kerrville, Texas be renewed for a period of one year commencing on June 1, 1966
