^ On this the 9th day of May 1966, came on to be examined by the Court the various reports
of April of bhe County and Precinct Officers of Kerr Gounty, Texas and the same having been
heard and considered by the Court, finds that said reports are true and correct and should
be approved; therefore, upon motion of Commissioner Stone, seconded by Commissioner Schwethelm,
the Court unanimously approved that the submitted reports be accepted and filed with the
Cuunty Clerk for future reference and subject to audit.

PiO. 10226 ORDER AUTHORIZING Ai'POINTNIENT OF FRAidiC FELTS AS DEPUTY SHERIFF
On this the 9th day of May 196, came on to be considered by the Court the application
^, of Leon i'Iaples, Sheriff, for authority to appoint and deputize Frank Felts as Deputy Sheriff,
and it appearing to the Court that said officer is entitlod to said Deputy and that the
application should be approved; therefore, on motion made by Commissioner 3Jlosty, seconded by
Commissioner Bartel, the Court unanimously approved that said officer be authorized to
deputize Frank Felts as Deputy Sheriff, at a salary of X3960,00 per annum, effective as of
May 15, 1966.

N0. 10227 ORDER REATEWING FIRE FIGHTING CON`P1tAC'P 6vI'.1'H THE CITY UP' KERRVILLE, TE1{AS
On this the 9th day of May 1966 came on to be heard and considered by the Court the
matter of providing Rural Fire Protection for Kerr County, and it appearing to the Court that
the existing Fire Fighting Contract with the City of Kerrville, Texas will expire on May 31,
1966; and it further appearing to the Court that the existing contract and the working
arrangements agreed upon thereunder are providing satisfactory rural fire protection fur the
citizens of Kerr County and that it would be to the best interests of Karr Cuunty to renew

such contract for a one-year period;
It is therefore ordered on motion by Corrunissioner Schwethelm, seconded by Commissioner
T~Iosty and unanimously approved by the Court that tho existing Fire h'ighting Contract with
the City of ierrville, Texas be renewed for a period of one year commencing on June 1, 1966

and ending on NIay 31, 1967 as provided for in Part G of the existing contract, said renewal
to become effective upon the joinder therein by the City of Kerrville by letter acceptance as
provided for by the terms of said Part C, and it is further Ordered that the Clark of this
Court forward a certified copy of this Order to the City of Kerrville, 'T'exas,
