ALLISON, COMMISSIONER, TO SELL RERR COUNTY'S ONE-HALF INTEREST IN 51.69 ACRES OF AIRPORT LANDS Thin the 8th day of August, 1966, at the regular meeting oŁ the Commissioners' Court oŁ Kerr County, Texa e, with a quorum preeent, came on to be oonaidered the matter oŁ Kerr County's selling and disposing oŁ its undivided one-half (1/2) interest in and to a certain tract of 51.69 acres oŁ land out of the County's undivided one-half (1/Z)~interest in and to epprozimately 367.36 acres of land commonly known as the ^ Louis Schreiner Field" or "Municipal Airport^; and it being found and determined by the Court that the present location of the airport facilities offers virtually no room for expansion and that it canno be enlarged to meet the greater demands for service in the future; that aircraft parking on the greasy areas between the runway and the building rest rictlon line ie in violation oŁ the clearance requirements oŁ the Federal Aviation Agency for Kerr County's category oY airport; that aircraft parking apace 1s inadequate and unavailable near the present airport '~ installation for expansion purposes, but that an aircraft parking area is proposed for the other side of the runway adjacent to the proposed taxiways and proposed terminal buildings; that the proposed relocation of public facilities on the other aide oŁ the present airport would promote the public safety, inasmuoh as alrplanes would be able to move from hangars or the proposed terminal bu llding to the parking area and directly to the proposed taxiways without having to cross the runway; that at virtually all airpo rte the terminal facilities serve ae a focal point about which are boated light induct ry, aircraft maintenance and prlvate hangars which are an eesentlal part oŁ provlding ae rvice to the general public usin the airport; that much of the aforesaid services to the general public cannot be made available at the present location due to its limited apaoe end orowd ed conditions; and that a sale of the County's interest in the tract of land hereinafter described will make avail -t- able to the County Łunda for the future development of the improved airport facilities, in promotion of the public health, welfare and safety; upon the motion of Commissioner W.
