~~ COURT CONVENED IN SPECIAL SESSION SEP`PEMBER 30, 1966 at 10:00 o'clock A.M., with all members present and the Court having duly opened, the following proceedings were had: N0. 10308 ACCEPTANCE OF BID OF 'i'HE GREAT 'TEXAS LUMBER COMPANY FOR GROUPS I AP:D III FOR FENCING MATERIALS AND ACCEPTANCE OF BID OF T, J. MOO RE LUMBER YARD FOR GROUP II FOR FENCING MATERIAL On this the 30th day of September 1966, came on to be considered by the Court the sealed bids for fencing materials for F. M. Road 1340 as per specifications. Upon opening and reading the bids filed with the County Clerk of the Court, it is found that the bid of The Great Texas Lumber Company in the net amount of 462689.70 for Group I - imported net wire and for Group III - pressure treated creosoted pine posts be accepted as the lowest and best bid and that the bid of T. J. Moore Lumber Yard in the net amount of $241.50 for Group II for galvanized smooth cable wire, foreign manufacture, be accepted as the lowest and best bid. Motion made by Commissioner Bartel, seconded by Commissioner Mosty, with Commissioners Mosty, Bartel and Stone voting "AYE" and Commissioner Schwethelm abstaining from voting, said motion carrying by a majority vote. o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o DIO. 10309 CRDER AUTHORIZING APPOINTMENT OF JAMES B. TUCKER AS DEPUTY SHERIFF- INGRAM NIGHT WATCHMAN On this the 30th day of September 1966, came on to be considered by the Court the application of Leon F. Maples, Sheriff, for authority to appoint and deputize JAMES B. TUCKER as Deputy Sheriff- Ingram Night Watchman, and it appearing to the Court that said officer is entitled to said Deputy and that the application should be approved; therefore on motion made by Commissioner Schwethelm, seconded by Commissioner Mosty, the Court un- animously approved that said officer be authorized to deputize JAMES B. TUCKER as Deputy Sheriff-Ingram Night Watchman, at a salary of $100.00 per month, plus $30.00 per month car expense, effective as of October 1, 1966. o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o N0. 10310 ORDER REJECTING BID OF B. R. SCHULZ ENTERPRISES AS '1'0 KERR COUNTY'S UNDIVIDED ONE-HALF INTEREST IN 51.69 ACRES OF LAND OUT OF THE CITY-COUNTY AIRPORT PROPERTY On this the 30th day of September, 1966 came on to be heard and considered by the Court the highest bid received on the 6th day of September 1966 at a public auction conducted by A. P. Allison, Special Commissioner heretofore appointed by the Court pursuant to Order No. 10277 entered on the 8th day of August 1966 and recorded in Vol. M, Page 378 of the Minutes of the Commissioners Court of Kerr County, the said bid having been submitted on behalf of B. R. Schulz Enterprises, and it appearing to the Court that the said bid in the amount of $500.00 per acre as to Kerr County's undivided one half interest in the 51.69 acres offered for sale represents an inadequate consideration for the lands and improvements concerned, and it further appearing to the Court that by the terms of said public auction sale the Commissioners' Court of Kerr County did reserve the right to either accept or reject any and all bids received withi-n a 30 day period of such public auction, it is order- ed on motion by Commissioner Schwethelm, seconded by Commissioner Mosty and unanimously approved by the Court that the aforesaid bid of B. R. Schulz Enterprises in the amount of $500.00 per acre as to Kerr Caunty's interest in the aforesaid 51.69 acres of land be in all things rejected by Kerr County. o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-c
