On this the 13th day of February, 1967, came on to be heard and considered by the
court the matter of compensation to be paid to Ray P. Lewis, John M. Griffith and Lewis
Hart, Trustees of the "Eleanor Henderson Lewis Trust" and Mary Ann Bowman and husband,
Robert H. Bowman for land required for the reconstruction of F. M. Road 689 at Camp Verde;
and after due consideration by the court, it is ordered on motion by Commissioner
Schwethelm, seconded by Commissioner Bartel, and unanimously approved by the court that
Kerr County hereby offers to pay Ray P. Lewis, et als the sum of X49.65 for land and
damages for their conveyance to the State of Texas of 0.331 acres of land out of Survey
1822, and in addition to the foregoing cash consideration, Kerr County will construct
approximately 454 feet of new livestock fencing along the new right-of-way line, which
fencing shall consist of heart cedar posts set 25 feet apart with 3 heart cedar stays
between and 832-12-12 1/2 net wire with 3 barbed wires, and in addition Kerr County will
remove the old fencing along the existing right-of-way line of F. M. Road 689; and,
It is further ordered that the Clerk and the Treasurer be authorized to draw a voucher
on the F. M. 689 No. 2 Right-of-Way Fund payable to Ray P. Lewis, the said Ray P. Lewis
et als having heretofore delivered their duly executed right-of-way deed to Kerr County.

N0. 10447 ORDER RE(~UESTING TEXAS HIGHWAY DEPARTMENT '1'0 CONVEY A PARCEL OF OLD RIGHT-OF-WAY
OF STATE HIGHWAY 39 AT IN GRAM TO KERR COUNTY
On this the 13th day of February, 1967, came on to be heard and considered by the
court the matter of disposition of a parcel of old Right-of-Way of State Highway 39 at
Ingram in Kerr County; and it appearing to the court that the designation of the said
parcel of old right-of-way as a portion of the State Highway System has beer. cancelled by
the terms of Texas Highway Commission Minute Urder No. 58435 dated October 3, 1966, which
parcel of land constitutes 0.360 acres of land out of F. Trevino Survey No. 130 as describ-
ed in Appendix "A" of this order; and,
It further appearing to the court that the land comprising this parcel of old right-
of-way is no longer required for the use of citizens as a road and that the said parcel
of old right-of-way constitutes a portion of a former county roadway, which became a
portion of the State Highway System at no cost to the State of Texas and that it should
now be returned to Kerr County, it is ordered on motion by Commissioner Schwethelm, second-
ed by Commissioner Stone, and unanimously approved by the court that the Texas Highway
Department and the State of Texas be requested to convey by quitclaim deed to Kerr County,
Texas, all of the right, title and interest of the State in the herein referred to parcel

which parcel is more particularly described by metes and bounds in Appendix "A" of this

APPENDIX "A"
Being 0.360 acres of land more or less, out of that certain 5 3/5 acre tract of
land lying and being in the Francisco Trevino Survey No. 130, Abstract No. 333, in Kerr
County, Texas, said 5 3/5 acre tract being the same land described in a deed from T. J.
Moore to Victor H. Davis and wife, Ila Jean Davis, dated June 24, 1964, recorded in Volume
118, Page 472-473, Deed Records of Kerr County, Texas; said 0.360 acre parcel of land being
more particularly described by metes and bounds as follows:
BEGINNING at the point of intersection of the south right-of-way line of existing
State Highway 39 with the northeast right-of-way line of State Highway 39 to be abandoned,
said point being in a southwesterly direction 253.0 feet from an existing northeast corner
of the Victor H. Davis, et ux property, and being further described as being 80.0 feet at'
right angles from Engineer's Station 2083+81.9 on the centerline of said existing State
Highway 39;
THENCE along the northeast right-of-way line of said highway to be abandoned as
follows:
SOUTH	40°	37'	East,	41.4	feet;
SUUTH	63°	51'	East,	70.5	feet;
SOUTH	73°	12'	East,	53.5	feet;
SOUTH	78°	25'	East,	198.8	feet;
THENCE	SO	UTH	2° 15'	West,	40.0 feet to a point, said point being in the southwest
right-of-way line of said highway to be abandoned;
THENCE along the southwest right-of-way line of said highway to be abandoned as
follows:
NORTH 78° 25' West, 207.1 feet;
NORTH 73° 12' West, 59.8 feet;
NORTH 63° 51' West, 81.6 feet;
THENCE NORTH 40° 37' West, a distance of 81.0 feet to a point in the existing south
right-of-way line of State Highway 3g, said point being 80.0 feet from and normal to
Engineer's Station 2083+30.4 on the centerline of State Highway 39;
THENCE NORTH 88° 23' East, along existing south right-of-way line of State Highway 39,
a distance of 51.5 feet to place of beginning and containing an area of 0.360 acres of

On this the 13th day of February 1967, came on to be considered by the Court the
appointment of the necessary election officials for the ensuing year, for each oŁ the
nineteen Precincts of Kerr County and the Absentee Box at the Court House, as shown on
pages 294-299, Inclusive, Volume 1, Record of Election Judges for Kerr County, Texas.
Motion made by Commissioner Stone, seconded by Commissioner Schwethelm, and unanimous-
r^ ly approved by the Court that said officers be appointed for the year 1967, and made a
part hereof for all purposes.
