Burney Adolph Bartel Roger Stone County Judge Commissioner Precinct 1 Commissioner Precinct 2 Commissioner Precinct 3 Commissioner Precinct 4 and the Court having duly opened, the following proceedings were had: N0. 10459 ORDER REQUESTING PERMISSIVE LEGISLATION FOR THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A SINGLE COUNTY-WIDFS AUTHORITY TO ASSUME OWNERSHIP AND/OR OPERA'T'ION OF CITY-COUNT AIRPORT FACILITIES On this the 3rd day of March, 1967, came on to be heard and considered by the court the matter of the establishment of a single administrative body to assume the responsibility oŁ ownership and/or operation of the present City-County airport facility known as Louis Schreiner Field, and it appearing to the court that negotiations between the City of Kerrville and Kerr County whereby each of the individual governing bodies concerned has offered to convey its individual one-half interest in the said airport facility to the other governing body have failed to provide an acceptable solution to the numerous problems arising out of the existing system of joint ownership and contol of the said airport facility, and it further appearing to the court that the consensus of those concerned with the future operations of the said airport is that a single independent agency should be created to assume the ownership and/or operation of the facility, it is ordered on motion by Commissioner Bartel, seconded by Commissioner Burney and unanimously approved by the court that Kerr County hereby requests, subject to the substantial concurrence herein by the City of Kerrville, that Hon. James E. Nugent, State Representative of the 55th Legislative District and the Hon. J. P. Word, State Senator, 12th Senatorial District, introduce in the current session of the State Legislature and secure the passage of the necessary legislation to accomplish the following purposes: 1. The establishment of a single independent county-wide authority empowered to acquire title to and/or operate the existing public airport facility known as Louis Schreiner Field and owned jointly by the City of Kerrville and Kerr County, 2. That such authority be created pursuant to either the provisions of Article IX, Section 12 of the Constitution of the State of Texas, if applicable, or such other constitutional authority as may exist. 3. That such authority, if created, shall assume ownership and/or operation of the said facility subject to the provisions of all contractual. agreements and leases which may have been entered into by the City of Kerrville and Kerr County with third parties of any A-4 description. 477 4. M. ROAD 689 TO CALVIN PEARSON AND WIFE, FLORINS PEARSON, PURSUANT TO THEIR AGREEMENT TO CONVEY NEW RIGHT-OF-WAY On this the 3rd day of March, 1967, came on to be heard and considered by the court the necessity of implementing a proposed contract between the Texas Highway Department, Kerr County, and Calvin Pearson and wife, Florine Pearson, whereby certain surplus right- of-way of Farm-to-Market Road 689 is to be conveyed by the State of Texas to Calvin Pearson and wife, Florine Pearson, as a portion of the consideration for their granting a right- of way deed to the State of 'texas as to 4.027 acres of land out of W. T, Crook Survey No. 61, F. A. Sawyer Survey No. 109 and F. Gomez Survey No. 457, together with their granting ^ of one channel easement comprising 0.172 acres out of Survey 61, W. T. Crook, which tract of land and channel easement are more particularly described by metes and bounds in Exhibit "A" to said proposed contract; and, after due consideration by the court, it is ordered on motion by Commissioner Stone, seconded by Commissioner Burney, and unanimously approved by the court that Kerr County enter into the proposed contract and that the same be signed by the members of the court; and it is further ordered by the court that the 1.162 acres of land out of Survey 61, W. T. Crook and Survey 109, F. A. Sawyer, as described in Exhibit "B" to said contract will no longer be required for use as a public road following the pro- posed reconstruction of F. M. Road 689; therefore, the Texas Highway Department is hereby requested to convey the following 1.162 acre tract of surplus right-of-way to Calvin Pearson and Florine Pearson pursuant to the terms of the contract entered into by the three parties concerned: Being 1.162 acres of land, more or less, being 0.61`7 acres, more or less, out of the William T. Crook Survey No. 61, Abstract No. 111, 0.545 acres of land, more or less, out of .^-. the F. A.
