COURT CONVENED IN SPECIAL SESSION September 1, 1967 at 9;00 o'clock A.M., with the

and the Court having duly opened, the following proceedings were had:
N0. 10549 ADOPTION OF BUDGET FOR THE YEAR 1968
On this the 1st day of September 1967, came on to be considered by the Court the
public hearing in the matter of the adoption of the County Budget for the year 1968. It
appearing to the Court that proper notices have been published in the official newspaper of
Kerr County in the City of Kerrville, Texas for one week prior to the hearing date hereof,
and after thorough examination by the Court and the consideration of the public interest
of the Community, the Court is of the opinion that the proposed budget should be approved.
Therefore, on motion made by Commissioner Bartel, seconded by Commissioner Burney,
the Court unanimously approved the adoption of the County Budget for 1968. .,,

N0. 10550 ACCEPTANCE OF OFFER OF VIVIAN C. McNAIR OF PRECINCT #4 FOR USE OF A PORTION OF
HER S. W. PASTURE, FORA COUNTY ROAD
On this the 1st day of September 1967, upon motion made by Commissioner Bartel,
seconded by Commissioner Burney, the Court unanimously approved that Kerr County accept
the offer of Vivian C. McNair of Precinct #4 for use of a portion of her southwest pasture
for a County Road, the same to be recorded in the Minutes of the Commissioners' Court.
TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN
This is to certify that I, Vivian C. McNair do grant to Roger Stone, Road Commissioner of
Kerr County, Texas, full permission to cut and grade a county road through a certain
portion of my property. It is fully understood and agreed that only that portion of my
southwest pasture is to be traversed as has been necessiated by the rerouting of the present
county road through the M. L. Plummer property. ^
It is fully understood and agreed that this concession in no way constitutes a right or
deed to any of my property.
In the event the county road is ever abandoned, it is understood and agreed that all use
of this portion of my southwest pasture shall revert back to Vivian C. McNair.

CIVIL DEFENSE EMERGENCY PLAN
On this the 1st day of September 1967, upon motion of Commissioner Schwethelm, second-
ed by Commissioner Stone, the Court unanimously approved that J. H. Newcomer, Chief of
Police of the City of Kerrville, be appointed Director of Police Service for the City- "'~
County Civil Defense Emergency Plan to replace M. M. Calvert.
