On this the 23rd day of December, 1y68, came on to be heard and considered by the
'~~~Court the matter Of investing certain surplus funds currently on deposit in the Kerr Count;
'',Flood Control Maintenance Fund; and
It appearing to the Court that investment of such funds in United States Treasury
II~',Bille would be advantageous and desirable, it is ordered on motion by Commissioner Bartel,
j seconded by Commissioner Stone, and unanlmou sly approved by the Court that the Chas.
~~~. Schreiner Bank, the official depository of Kerr County, be authorized to purchase U. S.
Treasury Bills of the longest available term and with a maturity value of $13,000.00 for
~'~~,Kerr County and to hold the same in safekeeping; and

It is Łu rther ordered that the Clerk and the Treasurer be authorized to draw a voucher
I~~!on the Flood Control Maintenance Fund in the neceasa ry amount to purchase the Treasury Bill
'~'aa aforesaid, doing so wrien advised by the Chas. Schreiner Bank as to the actual purchase
,.,price, and making the said voucher payable as directed by the said bank; and
It is further ordered that the County Judge be authorized to sign any necessary
purchase orders or other inst rumente on behalf of Kerr County.

~~, NO. 10838 ORDER ZN CREASING PAYMENTS TO DISTRICT CLERK FOR CARE OF COUNTY LAW LIBRARY
' On this the 30th day of December 1968 came on to be heard and considered by the Court
~~'the matter of increasing payments to the District Clerk for the care and custody of the
I'County yaw Library and it appearing to the Court that such increase would be justified due
~~,to the increase in size of the said County Law Library since the year 1959 when the Distri c'
~!, Clerk assumed the responsibility for the care of the said Law Library, it is ordered on
I motion by Commissioner Schwethelm, seconded by Commissioner Stone and unanimously approved
~~by the Court that the payments to the District Clerk for the care of the County Law Library

~.. be increased to the sum of $40.00 per month, effective January 1, 196y and that the Clerk

and the Treasurer be authorized to make such payments each month prorated $20.00 per month
out of the County Law Library Fund and $20.00 per month out of the General Fund of Kerr
County.

On this the 30th day of December, lyGB, came on to be heard and considered by the
Court the matter oŁ amending Order No. 10828, entered on the 9th day of December, 1968,
which order set forth an offer to Kathryn Abbott, et al, for right of way for F. M. Road
394; and it appearing to the Court that damages to the remainder of the Abbott property are
greater than originally anticipated and that, therefore, the compensation as originally
offered should be increased,
It is ordered on motion by Commissioner Stone, seconded by Commissioner Burney, and
unanimously approved by the Court that the said Order No. 10,828 be amended so as to offer
the said Kathryn Abbott, Carroll Abbott and wife, Edna Lorene Abbott, and Kathryn Abbott, ',
Guardian of the Estate of Anna Lou Abbott, the sum of $1,000.00 for land and damages Łor '
