N0. 10634 ORDER SETTING PRECINCT OFFICIALS OTT A SALARY BASIS
On this the 8th day of January 1968, at a Regular `Perm of the Commissioners' Court,
witha quorum being present, there came on for consideration the matter of compensation for
the Precinct Officials of the various precincts of Kerr County for the year 1968 as pro-
vided for in Article 3912e, Section 6, R.C.S. of Texas. It appearing to the Court that
the interests of the County would be best served if the Precinct Officials of Kerr County
are paid on a salary basis for the year 1968;
Upon motion duly made by Commissioner Stone, seconded by Commissioner Bartel and un-
animously approved by the Court, that the Precinct Officials of Kerr County be paid on a
salary basis for the year 1968, as provided by law. It is further ordered that the Clerk
of the Court prepare a certified copy of this order and send same to the State Comptroller
of Public Accounts in Austin, Texas.

On this the 8th day of January 1968, upon motion made by Commissioner Stone, seconded

COURT AND OF JURORS IT.; COUNTY COURT
On this the 8th day of January 1968, came on to be heard and considered by the Court
^ the matter of fixing the compensation of Grand Jurors, Petit Jurors and Special Veniremen
in the District Court of Kerr County and of Jurors in the County Court of Kerr County as is
required to be done annually by Article 2122, Vernons Civil Statutes, Article 1056 of the
Code of Criminal Procedure and Article 35.24 of the Code of Criminal Procedure and after
due consideration, it is ordered on motion by Commissioner Bartel, seconded by Commissioner
Burney, and unanimously approved by the Court, that the compensation to be paid during the
year 7968 and until Further orders of the Court to all Grand Jurors and Petit Jurors and
Special Veniremen shall be fixed at $5.00 per day, including those summoned but excused,
Court
provided however, that those County and District/Petit Jurors and Grand Jurors actually
paneled and sworn, shall be paid $7.50 per day, with such compensation to be paid out of
the Jury Fund of Kerr County.

County and Precinct Officials of Kerr County, for the calendar year 1967.
It is ordered on motion made by Commissioner Stone, seconded by Commissioner Bartel

PIO. 10639 ORDHR AU'PHORIZIv'Ci IPdVESTMP.NT OF SURPLUS FUNDS OUT OF KERR COUNTY FLOOD CONTROL
MAINTENAP?CE FUND IN U. S. ;'REASURY BILLS
Un this the 8th day of January, 1968, came on to be heard and considered by the Court
the matter of investing certain surplus funds currently on deposit in the Kerr County Flood
Control Maintenance Fund; and
It appearing to the Court that investment of such funds in United States Treasury Bills
would be advantageous and desirable, it is ordered on motion by Commissivner Bartel, second-
ed by Commissioner Burney, and unanimously approved by the Court that the Chas. Schreiner
Bank, the official depository of Kerr County, be authorized to purchase U. S. Treasury Bills
of the longest available term and with a maturity value of $11,000.00 for Kerr County and
to hold the same in safekeeping; and
It is further ordered that the Clerk and the Treasurer be authorized to draw a voucher
on the Flood Control Maintenance Fund in the necessary amount to purchase the Treasury Bills
as aforesaid, doing so when advised by the Chas. Schreiner Bank as to the actual purchase
price, and making the said voucher payable as directed by the said bank; and ~;Q`r'

It is further ordered that the County Judge be authorized to sign any necessary purchase
orders or other instruments on behalf of Kerr County.

On this the 8th day of January, 1y68, came on to be heard and considered by the Court
the matter of compensation to be offered Wesley Ellebracht and wife, Margaret Ellebracht,
together with Leona Ellebracht, a widow, for their conveyance of land and granting of channel
easements required for the extension of State Highway No. 41 eastward from the Mountain Home
Post Office to Interstate Highway No. 10; and
After due consideration by the Court, it is ordered on motion by Commissioner Stone,
seconded by Commissioner Burney, and unanimously approved by the Court that Kerr County
hereby offers to pay Wesley Ellebracht and wife, Margaret Ellebracht, together with Leona
Ellebracht, the sum of $19,932.00 for land and damages for their conveyance to the State of
Texas of 39.866 acres of land out of Surveys 1101 and 1103, together with an additional sum
of $68.00 for damages for their granting two channel easements to the State of Texas, which
comprise 0.413 acres of land out of Survey 1101, it being the intention of Kerr County that
