Order Requesting Texas Highway Department to Im-
prove and Reconstruct F. 1~2. R.oad 480 between Camp
Verde and Ger~ter Point
On this the 10th day of March, 1969, came on to be heard and
considered by the Court the matter of t)ze proposed improvement and re-
construction of F. M. Road 480 commencing at the point of its intersec-
tion with F. M. Raad 689 at Gamp Verde and running east to the southern

edge of the town of Center Point; and it appearing to the Court that the
pre Sent sharp curves-'and dangerous low water crossings of Verde Creek
have re}~dered the ,p.resent roadway bath dangerous and inadequate for

;; ;present and future traffic needs and that it would be in the public interest
to reconstruct the s~.id roadway so as to correct the aforesaid inadequa-
ties and that such reconstruction would also provide residents of the town
of Center Point with a route of egress during those periods when flooding
of the Guadalupe River blocks all present access routes to the community,
it is ordered on motion by Commissioner Bu~~'-Y
seconded by Commission Bartel and unanimously
approved by the Court that Kerr County, acting by and through its Com-
missioners Court, hereby requests the Texas Highway Department to
proceed with the proposed Improvement; and Reconstruction of F. M. Road
480 as aforesaid and that Kerr County r.ereby agrees to furnish without de-
lay all necessary right-of-way for this ;project at no cost to the State of
Texas and it is hereby certified that the necessary funds for such right-
of-way procurement are currently available for expenditure and are not
otherwise encumbered,
