N0. 11054 ORDER ACCEPTING PROPOSAL OF TEXAS DEPAR'1'MEN'1 OF PUBLIC SAFETY 'TO REPLACE
CITY-COUNTY RADIO TOWER
On this the 31st day of December, 1969, came on to be heard and considered the letter
proposal of the Texas Department of Public Safety dated December 8, 1969, which proposal

sets forth the offer to replace the present City-County/Tower with a new tower at no cost
to Kerr County and the City of Kerrville, and it appearing to the Court that the existing
tower which is being used by the Department of Public Safety pursuant to authority granted
in Order No. 9145 has become structurally unsafe by reason of deterioration; and it further
appearing to the Court that the City of Kerrville has heretofore accepted the proposal as
aforesaid, it is ordered on motion by Commissioner Bartel, seconded by Commissioner Stone
and unanimously approved by the Court that Kerr County hereby joins with the City of
Kerrville in accepting the proposal of the Texas Department of Public Safety to replace the
said tower as outlined in the letter proposal aforesaid conditioned upon the rights of
joint usage of the new tower being reserved to the City of Kerrville , Kerr County, and
the Kerrville Telephone Company as set forth in said proposal.

N0. 11055 ORDER CONFIRMING TERMINATION OF AGREEMEN`T' WITH FIRM OF HEDRICK AND STANLEY
RELA'i~IVE '10 ARCHITECTURAL SERVICES FOR COURT HOUSE AND JAIL IMPROVEMENTS
On this the 31st day of December, 1969, came on to be heard and considered by the
Court the matter of confirming the termination of an agreement between Kerr County and
the Architect Firm of Hedrick and Stanley, which agreement dated October 21, 1958, is re-
corded as a part of Commissioners Court Order No. 8104, dated November 10, 1958, in Vol.
L, Page 210 of the Minutes of the Court and which agreement provided for the contingent
payment for professional services of the said firm to be rendered in conjunction with the

proposed construction of a new jail and the renovation of the Kerr County Court House, and

it appearing to the Court that the improvements contemplated were rejected by the voters
of Kerr County by virtue of the defeat of a proposal to issue bonds to finance the pro-
posed improvements as is evidenced by the returns of an election held November 9, 1963,
and canvassed by the Commissioners Court on November 12, 1963, and that since that time
no further proposals have been entertained by the Court for the construction of any of the
improvements which were the subject matter of the agreement dated October 21, 1958, it is
ordered on motion by Commissioner Bartel, seconded by Commissioner Stone and unanimously
approved by the Court that Kerr County hereby confirms its termination of the said agree-
went as of November 12, 1963 and that it disclaims any further liability thereunder for
~ any and all purposes.
