Order No. 10,891 Order Requesting Texas Highway De,partmentto Recon- struct Quinlan Creek Bridge and Approaches on F. M. Road 1341 On this the 10th day of March, 1969, came on to be heard and considered by the Court the matter of reconstruction of the present low water crossing of Quinlan Greek on F. M, Rcad 1341 near the city limits of the Clay of Kerrville; and it appearing to the Court that the population `~~ '~ .. w ~ r ~,' iiaflux which ~ti~s occurred in recent years in the proximity of the afore- °> ~ ~ saidrnarrow low water bridge has increased the volume of traffic on the said-bric~'ge and its approaches far beyond the safe and reasonable capa- ,> <' ~ ~ k~iLtles o~f~the section of roadway concerned; and it further appearing that ~ ~ H- _~lu~i~g times vfsevere rainfall, the present grade level of F. M. Road ~-~ .~- ~' 1 x1341 in,' they area creates problems of residential flooding in adjacent areas 1 r+ ~^`anc~,that the flooding of Quinlan Creek renders the existing bridge impassable ~~and thereby severely restricts the ingress and egress to the homes of the residents of the adjacent portions of the Gity of Kerrville, it is ordered on motion by Commissioner Bartel seconded by Commis- sioner Burney and unanimously approved by the Court that Kerr County, acting by and through its Coi~:missioners Court, hereby re- quests the Texas Highway Departrr,ent to reconstruct the existing bridge crossing Quuaan Creek on F. M. Road 1341 and to also reconstruct the ap- proaches thereto commencing at the city limits of the Gity of Kerrville and running east a total distance of approxin7ately 0,40 miles and that Kerr County hereby agrees to furnish without delay all necessary right-of-way for this project at no cost to the State of Texas and it is hereby certified that the necessary funds for such right-of-way ,procurement are currently available for expenditure and are not otherwise encumbered, i .~ ~q-
