OF THE.
KERRVILLE-KERB COUNTY JOINT MUNICIPAL AIRPORT .ZONING BOARD
WHEREAS, by Ordinance No. 69-4 of the City of Kerrville, Texas,
duly enacted by the City Council of Kerrville, Texas, on the 6th .day
of February, 1969, effective February 6, 1969, said City Council did
establish this Joint Municipal Airport Zoning Board, investing it
with the. powers such Boards are authorized to exercise under the
provisions of the Airport Zoning Act (Articles 46e-I to 46e-15, inclusive,
V.A.C.S.) and Acts. amendatory thereof or supplementary thereto, subject
to like provisions being made by the Commissioners` Court of Kerr
County, Texas; and
WHEREAS, by Order No. 108.7 of the. Commissioners' Court of Kerr
County, Texas, dated February 10, 1969, said Court did likewise make
provision for and establish this Joint Board investing such Board with
the powers such Boards are authorized to exercise. under the provisions
of the Airport Zoning Act (Articles 46e-1 to 46e-15, inclusive, V.A.C.S.)
and Acts. amendatory thereof or supplementary thereto, which .said order
is spread on the minutes of said Commissioners' Court, Volume N, page
37; and •
WHEREAS, the .City Council of the City of Kerrville, Texas, has
appointed as members of this Joint Board F. L. N,~Kinney and Dr. Charles
C. Jones, Jr., and the Commissioners' Court of Kerr County, Texas, has
appointed as members, Col. John P. Wells and W. H;. Cowden, which said
four (4) members have appointed as Chairman of said Board Joe Benson,
•all as authorized by said Ordinance and Order referred to, and said
Kerrville-Kerr G6unty Joint Municipal Airport Zoning Board has organized
itself and is ready to transact business; and
WHEREAS, it .appears to the Kerrville-Kerr County Joint Municipal
Airport Zoning •Board that the Airport Zoning Act (Articles 46e-1 to
46e-15, inclusive, V.A.C.S.) and Acts amendatory thereof or supplemen-
tary tYrereto, requires that this Joint Municipal Airport Zoning Board

appoint an Airport Zoning Commission to recommend the boundaries. of
airport hazard areas and zones, as those terms are defined in the
Airport Zoning Act (Articles 46e-1 to 46e-15, inclusive, V.A.C.S.}
and Acts amendatory thereof or supplementary thereto, and to recommend
airport zoning regulations to be .adopted for such airport hazard area;
IT IS THEREFORE ORDERED,. and there is hereby appointed an Airport
Zoning Commission composed of the Following members which said members
as such Commission shall have and exercise the powers and duties pre-
scribed in the Airport Zoning Act (Articles 46e-1 to 46e-15, inclusive,
V.A.C.S.) and Acts amendatory thereof or supplementary thereto, which
said members are as follows:
1. Edward M. Schlieter, Chairman
2. Dr. Barney Williams
3. L. W. Vansant
4. Harold Dean Martin
5. Glen Nelson

IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that said Airport Zoning Commission shall
make a preliminary report and hold public hearings thereof before
submitting its. final report to this Board; thereafter, said Airport
Zoning Commission shall submit its final report to this Hoard re-
commending boundaries of the various zones of airport hazard areas and
the. regulations to be .adopted therefor, pursuant to the provisions of
the Airport .Zoning Act (Articles 46e-1 to 46e-15, inclusive, V,A.C.S.)
and Acts amendatory thereof or supplementary thereto.

things duly organized itself; and,
WHEREAS, Airport Zoning Act (Articles 46e-1 to 46e-15, inclusive,

requires that the Joint Municipal Airport .Zoning Board appoint an
Airport Zoning Commission to recommend the boundaries of airport hazard

thereof or supplementary thereto, and to recommend airport zoning
regulations to be adopted for such airport hazard area;
WHEREAS, by ORDER of the Kerrville-Kerr County Joint Municipal
Airport Zoning Board, dated May 12, 1969, has appointe$ as members of
this .Airport Zoning Commission the following persons:
Edward M. Schlieter, Chairman
Dr. Barney Williams, Member
L. W. Vans ant, Member
Harold Dean Martin, Member
Glen Nelson, Member
and invested such Commission with the powers and duties prescribed in
the Airport Zoning Act (Articles 46e-1 to 46e-15, inclusive, V.A.C.S.)
and Acts amendatory thereof or supplementary thereto; and,
WHEREAS, this Commission has made its preliminary report this the
11th day of June 1969, relative to the purposes
authorized by the Airport Zoning Act (Articles 46e-1 to 46e-15, inclusive,
V.A.C.S.) and Acts amendatory thereof or supplementary thereto; and,
WHEREAS, it appears to this Commission that the Airport Zoning Act
(Articles 46e-1 to 46e-15, inclusive, V.A.C.S.) and Acts amendatory
thereof or supplementary thereto, requires that this Commission hold a
public hearing on said preliminary report before submitting its final
report to the Kerrville-Kerr County Joint Municipal Airport Zoning
Board, at which hearing parties in interest and citizens shall have an
opportunity to be heard, regarding the airport zoning regulations
report proposed to be submitted to said Zoning Board;
NOW, THEREFORE, pursuant to the provisions of Article 46e-5,
V.A.C.S., of the Airport Zoning Act (Articles 46e-1 to 46e-15, inclusive,
V.A.C.S.) and Acts amendatory thereof or supplementary thereto, it is
ordered that a public hearing be held before this Commission on the
30th day of June , 1969, at The Municipal Auditorium,
located at 911 Main Street, Kerrville, Kerr County, Texas, at 9:00

o'clock A. M. for the purpose of hearing all parties in interest and
citizens who desire to be heard on the preliminary report of this
Airport Zoning Commission prior to submitting its final report pro-
posing airport zoning regulations to the Kerrville-Kerr County Joint
Municipal Airport Zoning Board concerning proposed regulations cover-
ing airport hazard areas in this County.
IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that this Notice be published with
KERRVILLE DAILY TIMES ,
a paper of general circulation in Kerr County, Texas.
