MEEKER, City-County Sanitarian, Report for April, 1y70 MARGARET HILL, County Health Nurse, Report for April, 1970 o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o N0. 11123 ORDER RENEWING AND AMENDING FIRE FIGHTING COIvTTRACT WITH THE CITY OF KERRVILLE, TEXAS On this the 11th day of May, 1970, came on to be heard and considered by the Court the matter of providing Rural Fire Protection for Kerr County, and; It appearing to the Court that the existing Fire Fighting Contract with the City of Kerrville, Texas will expire on May 31, 1970, and it further appearing to the Court that the existing contract and the working arrangements agreed upon thereunder are providing satisfactory rural fire protection for the citizens of Kerr County and that it would be to the best interests oŁ Kerr County to renew such contract fora one year period with amendment; It is, therefore, ordered on motion by Commissioner Schwethelm, seconded by Commission- er Stone and unanimously approved by the Court that the existing Fire Contract with the City of Kerrville, Texas, dated May 14, 1960, be amended so that the first sentence of Part D thereof shall read as follows: The County of Kerr agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the City of Kerrville for any damages or injuries to any person or the property of such person, who is not an employee, agent, workman or fireman of the City of Kerrville, which damages or injury results from answering or performing fire calls outside of the City of Kerrville. And that the said contract as amended be renewed for a period of one year commencing June 1, 1970 and ending May 31, 1971 as provided in Part C of the existing contract, said renewal and amendment to become effective upon the joinder therein by the City of Kerrville by letter acceptance as provided for by the terms of Part C, and it is further ordered that the Clerk of this Court forward a certified copy of this order to the City of Kerrville, Texas. o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o N0. 11124 APPROVAL OF EXTENSION OF IviOPTTHLY ALLOWANCE FOR NANNIE SHERMAN On this the 11th day of May 1970, upon motion made by Commissioner Stone, seconded by Commissioner Burney, the Court unanimously approved that the monthly allowance of Nannie Sherman be extended for a period of six months, effective as of May 1, 1970. o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o N0. 11125 ORDER AUTHORIZING INVESTMENT OF SURPLUS FUNDS OUT OF KERR COUNTY SPECIAL RIGHT- OF-WAY FUND IN U. S. TREASURY BILLS On this the 11th day of May, 1970, came on to be heard and considered by the Court the matter of investing certain surplus funds currently on deposit in the Kerr County Special Sight-of-Way Fund; and It appearing to the Court that investment of such funds in United States Treasury Bills would be advantageous and desirable, it is ordered on motion by Commissioner Bartel, seconded by Commissioner Burney and unanimously approved by the Court that the Chas. Schreiner Bank, the official depository of Kerr County, be authorized to purchase U. S.
