~~~ N0. 11177 APPROVAL OF QUARTERLY REPORT OF COUNTY FINANCES AND TABULAR STATEMENT OF COUNTY CLF,RK OF INDEBTEDNESS, EXPENDITURES AND RECEIPTS OF KERR COUNTY On this the 13th day of August 1970, came on to be examined by the Court the Quarterly Report and Tabular Statement of Emmie M. Muenker, County Clerk, covering the indebtedness, expenditures and receipts of Kerr County for the quarter beginning May 1, 1970 and ending July 31, 1970 and the same having been compared and examined by the Court and found correct. Upon motion made by Commissioner Bartel, seconded by Commissioner Stone, the Court unanimously approved said report and ordered said report to be filed for Future reference and subject to audit. THE STATE OF TEXAS ~ COUNTY OF KERR ~ o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o Order No. 11178 On this the 13th day of August, 1970, the Commissioners Court of Kerr County, Texas was convened in regular session at a regular Term of said Court, with the following members present, to-wit: Julius R. Neunhoffer, W. C. Schwethelm, Clinton D. Burney, Adolph Bartel, Roger Stone, Emmie M. Muenker, County Judge Commissioner, Precinct No. 1, Commissioner, Precinct No. 2, Commissioner, Precinct No. 3, Commissioner, Precinct No. 4, County Clerk; and at such session, among other proceedings had, the following order was passed: "Whereas, the Texas Legislature has established the Texas County and District Retire- went System, pursuant to Section 62 of Article XVI of the Texas Constitution; and Whereas, said constitutional provision directs that the governing body shall determine whether the County shall participate in the System so established; and Whereas, this Commissioners Court has determined that it is to the public interest that the County of Kerr participate in the System, for the purpose of more adequately pro- viding for retirement of superannuated or disabled employees; it is there ORDERED BY THE COMMISSIONERS COURT OF KERR COUNTY, TEXAS: 1. In this order, the respective terms 'deposits', 'employee', 'earnings', 'prior 'service', service',/and 'System' have the meanings defined for such term by Chapter 127, Acts, Regular Session, 60th Legislature of Texas. 2. Pursuant to the provisions of Chapter 127, Acts, Regular Session, 60th Legislature, Kerr County hereby elects to participate in, and to have its employees participate in the Texas County and District Retirement System, such participation to begin and be effective on the first day of October, 1970. 3. All persons who are employees of said County on the effective date of participation prescribed above shall become members of the System and shall be allowed credit for prior service in accordance with the provisions of said Act and the Rules and Regulations of the Board of Trustees of the System. Each person who shall become an employee of the County subsequent to the effective date of participation and who is not already a member of the System, shall become a member at date of his employment, provided he shall at such date be less than fifty-eight (58) years of age. 4. Each employee of Kerr County shall make deposits to the System for each payroll
