Order No. 11.0$7 Order Concurring with the City of Kerrville in the Matter of Creating a Joint Airport Board to Operate Louis Schreiner Municipal Airport On this the 25th day of February, 1970, came on to be heard and considered by the Court the matter of joining and concurring with the City of Kerrville in the matter of creating a joint airport board pursuant to provisions of the Texas Muni- cipal Airport Act codified as Article 46d-1, Vernons Texas Civii Statutes, and it appearing to the Court that the Gity of Kerrville has heretofore adopted a resolu- tipn to create such a board which resolution reads as follows: "That the City Council, acting under authority vested in it under the Texas Municipal Airport Act, appoint afive-member Airport Board to assume the powers specified for an Airport Board under the Texas Municipal Airport Act; that concurrence of the Kerr County Commissioners Court be required for con- firmation of the appointments; that terms of the members of the Airport Board be set at two years for three members and ane year for two members, with subsequent appointments to be for two-year terms; that the five members of the _ i~i,~!piart Board appoint their own chairman, and that such authority be and here- r:: ~. `'by,:~s:granted by the City Council of the City of Kerrville to said Airport Board ",a"s ale~ineated by the Texas Municipal Airport Act. " lAnd it further appearing to the Court that the creation of such a joint ,~ btfarc~is in the public interest, it is ordered on motion by Commissioner ,~ ~''' '`, Schwethelm-' , seconded by Commissioner Burned d.unanimously approved by the Court that Kerr County concurs with the actions :.~ , _- of'the City of Kerrville in this matter and that Kerr County does hereby adopt the provisions of the hereinabove set forth resolution insofar as they are applicable a to Kerr County and that authority be and is hereby granted to the said Airport Board as delineated by the Texas Municipal Airport Act and that the ownership of the said airport and its associated facilities as now exist or as hereafter con- structed shall remain jointly and equally that of the City of Kerrville and of Kerr County with the costs of operation to be shared accordingly as they have been in the past. %~ - ~ c
