Order Acknowledging Extension of Lease Agree-
ment with Texas Highway Department as to 1, 4
Acres out of T. A. Dowdy Survey 1922 as per
Option in Original Lease
On this the 25th day of September, 1970, came on to be heard and
considered by the Court the matter of a certain lease agreement heretofore
entered into between Kerr County and the Texas Highway Department, which
lease is of record in Vol. ~., Page 476 of the Commissioners Court Minutes;
anH .it appearing to the Court that the said lease as to 1.4 acres of land out
pf 6u~ve~ 1922, T. A. Dowdy, situated at the intersection of old State High-
way,4I;aiid State Highway 27 in the community of Mountain Home, Texas,
tvas ~ntei!ed into for a period of 20 years, commencing Nov. 1, 1950 with
the Tezcas Highway Dep~;'rtment as Lessee having been granted the additional
bption,of.renewing same_for 20 years; and it further appearing to the Court
that She Lessee has given written notice of its intention to exercise its re-
newaY option, doing so more than 30 days prior to November 1, 1970, and
that Lessee has aditionally tendered the required sum of $1, 00, which has
been duly deposited with the County Treasurer;
It is ordered on motion by Commissioner ~ J~
seconded by Commissioner~~~~r~~~ ~ and unanimously
app-roved by the Court that the extension and renewal of the lease aforesaid
for a period of 20 years commencing November 1, 1970, is hereby recog-
nized and acknowledged for all purposes.
