ORLEk NC. 11, 162 Order Requesting Texas Highway Department to Enter into Joint Right-of-Way Procurement Agree- ment on Portion of State Highway 16 South of Kerr- ville On this the 22nd day of July, 1970, came on to be heard and consider- ed by the Court the matter of procuring right-of-way for the upgrading of a portion of State Highway 16 south of Kerrville; and it appearing to the Court that the current as well as impending development of the land areas along State Highway 16 from its intersection with F. M. Road 689 southward has created a necessity for prompt procurement of needed right-of-way for the future upgrading of State Highway 16 along the lines embodied in the Ten Year Highway Development Program for District No. 15 of the Texas High- way Department, it is ordered on motion by Commissioner SChWethelm , seconded by Commissioner BaYtel and unanimously approved by the Court that Kerr County hereby expresses its desire to enter into a 50-50 Right-of-Way Procurement Program on that ,portion of Highway 16 from the point of its intersection with F. M. Road 689 to a point 4. 2 miles south for the future upgrading of the .portion of roadway concerned and that Kerr County further requests the Texas Highway Department to authorize and ,prepare the necessary agreement for this purpose. `,
